GAME THREAD: **** @ CU MBB Friday February 2nd @ 7pm on FS1

Anyone know why the hell the lines to get in were so ridiculous last night? A few of us got there a little late but we didn’t get in until the Supa Dupa Tina Cheer had ended.

Probably because they only had 2-3 doors open per entrance, and about that number wanding people.

Tad said after the game that this game was really big because they need to win 3 straight on this home stand to lead into the final stretch of the season. As he said, you can't win 3 straight unless you win the first one. So he did something he's never done before -- promised the team 2 days off if they won the game. The team responded and they get the whole weekend off. He wants them to get rested since they really haven't had time off since August 1st.

We need to win this next week. Currently 13-10 at #61 RPI. 5-6 (7th place) in the Pac-12. Getting this to 15-10 (7-6) with an RPI in the 50s heading into the final 5 games of the season would position the team so that the Dance is still possible and the NIT is a virtual lock as long as the wheels don't come off.

Not to mention that a loss at home to Cal or Stanford would be a killer RPI wise, despite Stanford being ahead of us in the Pac-12 standings.

I love that one, especially when she dresses up

By the way, what the hell are you doing home Nik? You were supposed to get arrested you ****ing slacker ;).

The officiating was terrible last night. Sometime letting full scale mugging go on then suddenly calling ticky tack stuff that had no impact on the play.

Neither coach though can be happy about how their team played though, easier for Tad because he got the win but both teams played like they were someplace else.

Buffs had a bunch of completely unforced errors, especially early. Things like not catching easy passes or just throwing the ball away without pressure. They a number of lay-ups that would normally be made in their sleep. Guys had rebounds in their hands and failed to secure them.

Positive sign when a team has a bad night or at least a night when they have a hard time getting focused and getting going and they still manage to beat a pretty good team.

Utah looked like they were having the same problems but some recent past Buff teams would have gotten frustrated and packed it in. This bunch just kept on playing.
