Games this weekend 12/1-12/2

I think the mechanics of it are just a little cleaner. I can't see putting 3 Go5 champs in, and I dislike the idea of a team that loses its conference winning the national title. Reality is that 8 teams with either all 8 selected by committee, or 5 auto bids to P5 champs is probably what will happen.
I like the idea of the 5 P5 champs and an at large but too much money not to expand to 8 teams.

The last SEC team to play in the Rose Bowl is Tennessee in 1946.

imagine UGA/Clemson for all the marbles in Atlanta.

wisconsin has all the time in the world to draw up the 2pt conversion of the century here

Anyone remember when we played in Norman in 89 (I think) when the Sooner Schooner tipped over and tore the astroturf?

I could swear they fixed it with duct tape.

I'd prefer 8, but I'd settle for 6.

Ranking strength of conferences as they relate to each other is still subjective since there isn't significant meaningful interconference play. We know there are at least a couple of strong SEC teams, but how weak is the conference as a whole? The same could be questioned on any conference. If we had 8, we could have the conference champion from each of the p5's, the best g5 and 2 wildcards. I realize the last three are choices will still be subjective and there will always be an argument from those that are 'picked', but I still think it would be better for the fan, and more money for the schools. But that's just me.

i think you kick it

They made what should be the right call.

FG means Wisconsin has to score a TD, FG for them doesn't help.
If tOSU had gone for it and not made it could have been a huge momentum boost for the Badgers.

This has turned into a much better game than it started out as.

having some flashbacks to when msu scored very late to win the big ten ccg against that unbeaten iowa team, roles reversed here tho

Wisconsin is true to its DNA. Maybe the only program in the country that punts in that situation.
