Good thing Cronin called all those timeouts when CU had a momentum stretch. Oh wait. And her comes the meltdown
Better save those timeouts until we're down at least 8

F****** a Tad how about a freaking time out?
That’s the thing about time outs, they come every 4 minutes. All game long. And the under 8 hasn’t fixed anything.Would've been interesting to see how long he waited if the under-8 hadn't come along

I ****ingntold you he wouldn't call one until our 9 pt lead turned into an 8 pt deficit.Would've been interesting to see how long he waited if the under-8 hadn't come along
17-016-0 run absolutely pathetic. So frustrating watching this team sometimes
UCLA also didn’t turn it over about 10 times during that stretch.Good thing Cronin called all those timeouts when CU had a momentum stretch. Oh wait.
Not sure what a TO would have done.UCLA also didn’t turn it over about 10 times during that stretch.
Possibly give the guys a chance to compose themselves. They were not in control and were shook. Not sure what a TO would have done.
Serious question on this. Has he ever explained his philosophy? Over the many years I've been watching his teams, I've seen this happen over and over again. There's a lot to like about Tad but I just don't get why he won't call timeouts in important games when we have the lead and it's slipping away.I ****ingntold you he wouldn't call one until our 9 pt lead turned into an 8 pt deficit.
**** Tad and his God damn time out usage.
Gave this God damn game away.
We will never ****ing know, cause we will never ****ing call one when it might matterNot sure what a TO would have done.
Time outs have far more value at the end of a game. Tad didn’t use his timeouts two weeks ago against Stanford, the usual suspects bitched and bitched, and all 3 of them got used in the last two minutes to secure the win.Serious question on this. Maybe. In retrospect it couldn't have caused a worse outcome. I guess where I come from is that the best coach I ever had followed the John Wooden philosophy of making us play through it and figure ourselves out. It made us mentally tough as the season progressed.Possibly give the guys a chance to compose themselves. They were not in control and were shook.
CU had the maximum timeouts possible at that point in the game.
When youre on the road, you don't allow more than three straight baskets before calling a TOTime outs have far more value at the end of a game. The under 8 time out came in the middle of the run that you’re all bitching about now, and we came out of the timeout and turned it over, ucla 3, then another turnover. Time outs aren’t some special elixir. Especially when you really are out matched. And we are outmatched against UCLA.
We needed to practice breaking a press, which apparently is a brand new thing that fUCLA just invented this week, as far as I can tell. This team has never seen one beforeWe needed to be up 20 when UCLA stopped being ice cold.
Yeah. They're not valuable when you can't draw up a f****** play to save your life.Time outs have far more value at the end of a game. We could have 47 timeouts left, but if you're down 138 pts, it doesn't ****ing matterTime outs have far more value at the end of a game. If that were the case, you’d be out of time outs with about 5 minutes left in the first half in a lot of games. 6-0 runs happen ALLLLL the time in basketball. When youre on the road, you don't allow more than three straight baskets before calling a TO
