Will it say a lot about the team? At the beginning of the season, most people (you and I included) predicted that Washington would be on a different level than the Buffs. So if the Buffs lose on Saturday, is that really any different from what you thought? I think there are some other games in the meat of the conference schedule that will actually show if this is still the 7-9 win team most people predicted, or a team that is going to struggle to get bowl eligible.

Right. If we are bowl eligible at the end of October, things have probably gone pretty well. If we are still looking for that 6th win heading into ASU, things have gotten dicey.

I thought it would be a loss yes but, I had some hope but after what I've seeen so far, not so much.

No mattter, go buffs

And the CU media is: 'Big win over UNC' and 'you can always play better, but the team's looking pretty good', while Mac loses his cool and snaps that his captain, 'doesn't know what he's talking about'. Mac is a bit nervous and The Emperors New Clothes approach usually doesn't work

No idea where you're getting that Mac "lost his cool and snapped." He was just responding to what they asked but he definitely did not lose his cool. Disagreements between a coach and player's take on the game doesn't mean the ship is sinking lmao

Still doesn't mean the OL was awful. Averaging 6 yards/carry as a RB is really good no matter who you're playing.
No man, you are right, UW's DC probably didn't sleep a wink after watching that dominating performance against an FCS team like UNC.

I saw the offense playing a lot looser than they did in the first two games. Was disappointed by the over the top throws by the UNC QB. Their O coordinator was mart to do that after Laguda was ejected.

Team made a lot of mental errors that will need to be corrected if they want to compete with UW. If I was a bettor I would take the Huskies -10

Hope the Buffs come redy to play next week.

My hope is the UW coaches think the same you do.
smh. I am just of the opinion that the OL has not looked all that great. I was hoping Irwin would be a good remedy, but they do not look all that good to me, certainly not "the best OL we have had around here for a while". If the cannot steam roll an FCS Dline (stats be damned, they did not), run all over one of the worst D1 teams in TxSt. (they did not) and turn in a mediocre rushing performance against Goat St. I happen to think there is cause for considerable concern. JMO.

I thought they looked better than the previous 2 games. Pass protection was definitely better as Montez had time to throw.

Montez was throwing the ball away instead of forcing things which was a good sign. Now he just needs to stop missing open receivers when he's standing in the pocket with good protection. That INT in the red zone should have been at least 1st and goal from inside the 5 if not a TD.
