Happy Football Season!!! (Official Camp Thread)

I am hoping he is able to redshirt.
Me, too. Learn this fall and in the spring practices. Work on his body for a year. Next year he'll have to potential to start.

Losing Julmisse hurt our depth at CB a lot so if we have some injuries he may be forced into action but agree that a RS year would be good for him and the team.

I worry that if he is as good as many think he could be that Oliver won't be around for his Senior season. KG might be the guy who fills that role of covering the opponents standout WR.

Gotta love MikeMac's recruiting and philosophy with CBs. He seems to be able to find talented ones and lots of them. Seems crucial with today's pass-happy offenses.

NOTES
: Safety Afolabi Laguda came up with a nifty interception Tuesday, following a receiver into the flat and then grabbing the ball out of midair when the pass was momentarily bobbled. … Cornerback Isaiah Oliver had two big pass breakups, including one on a slant pattern in the end zone that originally looked like a sure touchdown. … Bryce Bobo had a nice catch in the end zone, going up and simply out-battling the defender for the ball. … Nose tackle Javier Edwards "blew up" a short-yardage play in full contact drills, much to the delight of his teammates. … Defensive end Chris Mulumba continues to turn coaches' heads. … Derrion Rakestraw also continues to make rapid progress in his switch from wide receiver to defensive back. … Both Steven Montez and Sam Noyer were sharp throwing the ball, with both putting the ball in receivers' hands in the end zone in the red zone drills.

Couple things of interest from that clip.

Good to see Derrick McCartney moving around without a limp or any sign of his injury, his ability to contribute will be huge for this defense and his leadership on the field is needed.

Nice grab by Ross on a tough pass. For a guy who had some trouble holding on to the ball when he got here he has very good hands. He will make some plays that change games this year.

Why can't they say who bobbled the catch or who got out battled on a play? I get that CU wants to control the narrative but it's a little ridiculous

It feels like CSU should be playing their opening game this weekend and the Buffs game should be 9 days from now. I just realized we still have a while to go
