Happy Football Season!!! (Official Camp Thread)

Leo Jackson was the main guy doing interviews today. Sounds like he's distinguishing himself as the guy everyone trusts to have a big year on our DL.

Leading the group has been senior Leo Jackson III, who started 10 games in 2015 before backing up Kafovalu last year. Jackson is slated to start at left defensive end and is having a great camp.

"No question Leo Jackson has separated himself (from the group)," Jeffcoat said. "He probably has the most game time experience and he's working extremely hard and he's being more consistent. That's going to help him eventually get to where he wants to go."

Couple interviews here:

Football's a complex game, but there is also a pretty basic thing about the game: tougher team usually wins.

Getting to the point where our Buffs can win the physical battle with our OL is a huge step for the program.

It's kinda like boxing in a way. Everybody got a plan till they get busted in the mouth. It's not always that way but, most of the time, it is. That's on both sides of the ball, MMac knows more than me.

Chris Hudson's nephew is one of the young walk-ons to keep an eye on. RS-Frosh this year.

Kyle Trego gets a shout out from HCMM at safety.
Sam Noyer is ahead of where Montez was last year (HCMM first aid they were the same, but then said Sam was ahead cause Montez came into last year out of shape due to injury).

Tough pass for Montez. Lots of traffic. Quick reflexes by Gamboa though, and nice finish to the play by Mathewes

let em get all this crap out of their system before the season starts...Well let the D keep doing it...

Good shot of a couple newcomers. Schutack (OT walkon who was on scholarship at Rutgers) and Sherman (who looks like he's got the physique to play either OT or OG).

I liked Mathewes as a recruit so hoping for good things there. Figured he was kind of screwed when we ditched the 4-3, would be cool to see him have the athleticism to play OLB

So Gamboa, Sparaco, MAC, Lewis,...who else in the mix for LBs?
I think Callier has "it" and may see the field this year. Despite the youth in the 2 deep at LB, we have shockingly good size with DMac, Gamboa, Sparaco, Hasselbach, and Callier all 240+.

The IMG games I watched, Sparaco stood out quite a bit. Definitely belonged out there. Good news he's gonna get some run. Cool about Hudson's nephew too, glad to hear it.

Brief mention of Coleman with the pass rush, lots of praise for Kinney, good news on Isaac Miller's progression, and HCMM seems really happy with how the younger guys are progressing.
