Hate-watching: Week 10

So my wife is a husker fan so I have to bite my tongue when they are playing. I still want them to lose and the blowout is wonderful but she is so bummed out I know I am not getting laid for a few days

Hope she's receptive to some "sympathy" lovin' tonight.

Sefo is one of my favorite Buffs of all time, but Webb is a much better QB. He makes all of the throws and his receivers catch the ball in stride, not after a bounce or falling down.
I just don't get what you are trying to point out. We currently sit at 7-2, and 5-1 in games Sefo started.

We we're ahead in the Michigan game when he left, and we lost at USC by 4pts with our back up. What more do you want? What more do you think Webb could have provided?

I was merely making an observation while watching another good performance by Webb.

I want to be undefeated.

Accurate passes, better decision making, more douchiness.

Other hidden aspect of Webb not coming here is that CU got to run their QB of the future in some real game time. That only helps us down the road.

This argument just frustrates me. We are sitting at 7-2, first in the Pac12 south, and #15 in the nation and we would have been better with a QB change...

Get out of here with that.

I'd rather be 7-2 with Sefo than 8-1 or maybe even 9-0 with Webb. Dance with the one that brought you.

How great is today? **** bailer and **** braska get curbstomped and the ****ing irish lose to Navy? It's like the football gods let me write the script.
were you busy writing this script instead of the ****ty preview? based on the results, we'll let it slide this time.

Webb could have been on a 7-2 team ranked around 12th instead of 4-5 team that's headed for 4-8 or 5-7.
Chitown makes a good point. We could be just as good had Webb stuck to his word and maybe even better (which is hard to even imagine because this team is special). More importantly, for Webb, he'd be in the spotlight and be improving his draft status everyday had he stuck with CU. Interesting turn of events, and maybe a good lesson for Webb.

So, to recap:
#10 NU gets destroyed by OSU 62-3
#11 Florida loses badly to Arky 31-10
#12 Penn St beat up on Iowa 41-14
#13 LSU gains a total of 125 yards while being shut out by Alabama 10-0
#14 OU beats Iowa St 34-24
#15 CU beats UCLA 20-10
#16 Utah had a bye this week
#17 Baylor got rolled by TCU 62-22
#18 OSU got by KSU 43-37
#19 VT beats Duke 24-21
#20 WVU beats Kansas 48-21

Nobody behind us did anything worthy of a big jump. 3 teams in front of us lost.

We should be moving up 3 slots, but I believe it is 50/50 it will only be 2, because SEC.

There's a good chance that LSU moves up, I would wager.

Hate to say it, but I think we're 8-1 if Webb had stuck with us.

Or just as likely, he destroys the locker room and the cohesiveness of the team. We have won this year as a team, not as some individual only interested in getting to the NFL. We've played two really good defenses the past couple weeks. I haven't been impressed with Webb's passing when he's running for his life like Sefo has been. He's actually thrown a lot more ill timed picks than Sefo has.

A lot of silly judgements about Webb in here. He cares about winning pretty clearly, he's a great leader over there and runs their offense well, reminds me a lot of Sefo in his attitude towards the game. He had already had a positive effect on the players here before he flipped, no reason to think he destroys the locker room. He may or may not be a conceited asshole, but that doesn't make him a bad teammate or QB. He made the right decision, just handled it poorly. Happy with Sefo because he's been our guy, and that's how it was always going to be. Webb wasn't coming here like DeAndre Jordan was never going to be a Mav. Wish people would just stop bringing him up, it's irrelevant now.
