If Staub starts and with the backs we have available, I'm guessing Friday's offense looks a lot like last year's.
Not excited about that either, last years offense sucked, however with a better O-Line, it may work, but need better run plays, more motion, and no more ****ing Bubble Screens.

The only player I see on the Houston injury report that would potentially have an impact is OL Dalton Merryman, as the starting right tackle.

According to DNVR interview with UH reporter, Houston has had different OL for each of the first two games. So it sounds like there is an opportunity for the Buffs to exploit a line that might not yet be cohesive

Heard that their QBs pressure rate has been one of the highest in the country and that’s been against SFA and Rice. Heard their OL is 2023 CU bad

I expect Shurmur to dull down the plays for Staub, which stalls the offense yet again. CP gets frustrated with the QB's performance, winds up playing all 3 creating more chaos.
Buffs win a close one. Somehow Shurmur avoids the blame again.

Staub’s a third year player who has been with Shurmur the whole time and he is who Shurmur is most comfortable with as QB. If anything, I expect this to be the most expansive playbook we’ve seen.

I agree that Shurmur may be most comfortable with Staub. Will that prevent Shurmur from calling endless bubbles screens for minus 1 yard? Continuing to be vanilla with his playcalling? Until Shurmur shows he can change, that is how I assume he will continue to call plays, no matter who is behind center.

I'd rather we received to start the game. Don't trust the D to begin with and don't know how they'll react to the hostile crowd, etc. I'd love to see Staub take us down for a score and pump up the D while doing so.

30 - 27 Buffs, but this game seems dependent on more unknowns than usual.
