Why? Not pressing you, just asking earnestly here because it keeps coming up. If Staub is playing well doing what he does, why on Earth would there be a need to put Salter in just to "mix it up." Mix sh!t up with your formations and play calling. Man...I’d like to see Staub as the guy, but I think Salter could be valuable on some short yardage packages.
How about a tunnel screen? Or a RB screen? Maybe a TE screen?Well, wish he had the receivers work on blocking if they are gonna keep running that damn bubble screen. Actually, I liked that screen Rocket used to run back in the day.
As I stated, it would be very specific short yardage situations where you need 1 or 2 yards. Why? Not pressing you, just asking earnestly here because it keeps coming up. I’m not sure the AJ McCarron / John Parker Wilson is the same as Tua/Hurts is the same as Mac Jones is the same as Bryce Young (although I thought Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe were the same person)THiS.
we need an identity. and it needs to carry over from year to year. sure, you adjust and tweak based upon what your players do well, but you have to have a system in college ball. the upperclassman help teach and enforce the system. and so forth.
bama analysts and assistants came and went, but the offense was the offense.
Hell, that wouldn't bother me any.How about a tunnel screen? Or a RB screen? Maybe a TE screen?
Just not the same damn bubble screen to the RIGHT SIDE every damn time.
Good stuff, but El Matador is no Jim Anchower.Lots of good notes in there. The bullet points at the end are worth your time, folks.
Definitely intrigued by Jeremiah Brown and Makari Vickers and if he they continue what he did vs DelawareLots of good notes in there. The bullet points at the end are worth your time, folks.
Honestly, Staub is tougher and runs harder than Salter, so again, why switch QBs?As I stated, it would be very specific short yardage situations where you need 1 or 2 yards.
It is not unusual for teams to do this with a running qb.
It’s just a thought. Sorry for stating an idea about the football team on a football team board.Honestly, Staub is tougher and runs harder than Salter, so again, why switch QBs?

I love our team's open-mindedness around pronouns!Definitely intrigued by Jeremiah Brown and Makari Vickers and if he they continue what he did vs Delaware
I watched that bullshvt as a kid. Best episode, to me, is when him and Slater fought.Always interested in the D…

Great read!Good stuff!
It’s also a good story to shove back in the face of CU detractors when Prime first came in and gutted roster, saying that no one was even given a chance.I’d like to see Staub as the guy, but I think Salter could be valuable on some short yardage packages.
Surprising, from the guy who fails to show up for his own scheduled ass-kickings.I watched that bullshvt as a kid. Best episode, to me, is when him and Slater fought.
Whatever, you're on the list. No sweeping the leg.Surprising, from the guy who fails to show up for his own scheduled ass-kickings.

Does anyone remember Chris Leak’s backup? As I stated, it would be very specific short yardage situations where you need 1 or 2 yards.

Yeah some dude named Tim.Does anyone remember Chris Leak’s backup?

Brown showed up a number of times in the highlights. I didn't watch the whole game replay, so not sure if he got lost on other plays.Definitely intrigued by Jeremiah Brown and Makari Vickers and if he they continue what he did vs Delaware
Prime said as much today. We need a playmaker. Shedeur is a playmaker more than anything else. Staub realized to play here, you gotta develop as a playmaker. Juju will learn the same. We thought Salter would do it but he simply couldn't. Especially as a passer.Yep, until Saban made the conscious decision to completely change and go with the modern spread offense by bringing in Kiffin and continuing it with Daboll and Sark. Went from Greg McElroy and AJ McCarron type QBs to Hurts, Tua, Mac Jones, Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe.
Point is, the game has evolved and the days of a bunch of programs having really unique identities are gone. Pretty much everyone runs the same kind of offense outside of a handful of programs. "Identity" is mostly just a fancy word for "what is this team good at", and teams that are just kind of mid (like CU) are said to not have an identity.
Juju is 6’5” with the afroStaub and Juju are the same height. Like EXACTLY.
The team in general kind if was “meh” all the way up through the UCF game.My memory isn't crystal clear, but it seems like the defense struggled through the 1st few games last year, but started jelling after the offense got more confidence and started producing more.
I'm hoping for something similar. The offense starts producing more under Staub and the defense is inspired to improve their game. I think they have all the tools necessary, but need to believe in themselves more. (and have Livingston learn how to scheme against running quarterbacks
)
What if he is a reliable quarterback that the team respects who does most things pretty well and allows those around him to excel?Check out the Class of 2023 QB Recruits

What is Staub is Neo, the "ONE" that leads us?
Arch, Avery Johnson, Sellers and Staub the only ones still with their original team. CrazyCheck out the Class of 2023 QB Recruits

If he throws a TD does he get another series?I really wouldn't be surprised if a WR makes a throw.
