He is leaving - Tucker announced at the press conference.
I thought with a few right answers, the starting 22 could be bowl worthy. But the team has razor thin depth outside of a couple of positions. If you showed me at the start of the season this list of transfers and injuries, I would have said the season was a gonner.I really didn't think this team was in need of an entire rebuild from the ground-up when HCMM left.... Tucker must disagree.

If he is going to burn it down, wouldn't he have to play with fire?Mel's playing with fire if he thinks we need to burn it down and rebuild again.
I'm obviously just speculating and writing stories here, but perhaps WE didn't think CU needed an "entire rebuild" based on our unwittingly low expectations given the last 15 years and the norm in the Pac 12, but based on HCMT and his UGA/Bama/SEC standards, CU more than needs a ground up rebuild?
I'll trust in his process until it's time to no longer trust him.
IMO (speculating)...
These divorces are mutual. Coach Tucker is demanding more from the players. They’re unwilling or unable to provide more. They feel like they’ve given enough already and demand more from Coach Tucker. Homie don’t play that way, so the guys are moving on.
It is ugly. It is uncomfortable. It is risky.
However, Coach Tucker came here to raise the standard. Some players aren’t able to meet the standard. Others aren’t willing to try.
What do you do when someone demands more than their effort and talent dictate?
What do you do when someone isn’t able to fit the bill for what you’re seeking in a player?
Antwine. So how much turnover have we seen since Tucker has taken over?
DB - Wigley, Blackmon, Hypolite, Kevin George, Maddox
DL/OLB - Callier, Finau
TE - Jones
Is that it to this point or am I missing anyone?
Obviously it would have been nice having Wigley, Blackmon, Maddox and Hypolite for this season to help with depth and hopefully get to a bowl game, but none of those are bad losses for the future, IMO. I liked the potential of Hypolite, and it sounds like he was doing well until he violated rules or whatever, so maybe he is a loss.
Was that turnover from Tucker being hired or macintyre and his staff moving on?Antwine.
I had forgotten that many DB's bailed. So how much turnover have we seen since Tucker has taken over?

Necessary.holy ****. Will we even field a team next year? Lol this is just brutal. We had no depth and fired our coach, tons of kids left. We really had no depth, everyone got injured, now the lack of depth is transferring.
it’s not like we have 4 star athletes waiting in the wings to commit to all the newly opened roster spots. I’m getting nervous now.
Fair, but I don't count him in the context of this discussion.Antwine.
No your point is correct. We have lost no difference makers.Fair, but I don't count him in the context of this discussion.
Just culling bad apples and underperformers. Routine and necessary in culture shift. .Mel's playing with fire if he thinks we need to burn it down and rebuild again.
And the numbers are not that dramatic. Most quality programs have multiple players leave each year.Just culling bad apples and underperformers. Routine and necessary in culture shift. .
