I like the Coug fans' chances in rodeo-based competitions over the Cal fans (steer wrestlin' in particular), and I mean that in a good way. I'm not trying to suggest they don't bring anything to the party.

Kal fans? ok. Not sure what the bolded statement has to do with me calling myself a Coug fan. Cool though. Just lending a bit or perspective from a fan base that has had plenty of misery over the past few years.
I have read the entire thread (shameful I know) and it is like a mirror of some of the rants on Cougfan.com over the past few seasons. I suppose it was toungue in cheek.

Kal - sort of a play on the communist contigent at Berkley.
U$C or SUC or condoms
UW= pups or mutts -Huck the Fuskies
Stanford = trees (or tree on acid if you look at rthat hideous mascot) or ferd (not enough reason to hate them traditionally)
FUCLA - self explanitory
Beavs - nobody really hates them outside Whoregon
Whoregon - the zeros - IQ stated on helmet...etc .
Not much for Zona or ASU (both really not much football history) BBall we all hate Zona and FUCLA.
Cougs - people pretty much change to Coogs, or spell Wazzu wrong. Cougin It is a banned term on our message board - (stealing defeat from the jaws of victory)

The only school in that entire group I can even hate just a little is USC, and I have to admit my hatred is based 100% on pure jealousy.
I DO hate Oregon's uniforms, though. Does that count?

You need to meet more USC grads. Literally, this week some dude starts talking to me in the DFAC and I took an instant disliking to him. 4 minutes into the conversation he tells me he's a USC grad. Seriously, I've never met one that I've liked, and I've met over 100 of those ****ers.

Being new to the board I thought maybe I didn't have the right to respond to this post. But then I thought #### it.
True fans will go through hell and back for the TEAM. Does anyone remember the Buffalo Bills? Four SB's four loses. But the fan base always believed.
Being older then most ( I think) on the board I can relate to CU teams in the 60's 70's 80's 90,s 00's and beyond god willing.
Now with a son getting ready to move on to college and maybe CU my interest is at a fever pitch right now. I've always believed in CU Football. Good, bad it didn't matter. There was always the illusion of a winning season next year.

Frankly, I don't like using slight misspellings to derogate other teams. It is the sign of a fanbase with limited **** to talk. And that aint us. **** that ****.
Now, that said, the trees is a good one for stanford because it is their ****ing mascot, and easier to type. FUCLA... That is ok because it is just saying **** UCLA, which I can get behind.
Whoregon is kinda funny I guess. Meh. Condoms aint bad for USC since it is a play off their mascot, but still, meh.
The Kal reference sucks balls, and we are pretty much not allowed to use it anyways.
Huck the Fuskies - instantly accepted due to similarity with Huck the Fuskers. I refuse to call them the dawgs or whatever they would prefer cause there are a **** ton of schools already with that nickname. Husks or Huskies it will be. Pups, meh.

I think it will take a year or two to figure out who to hate. Most of the time it is the fan base that people dislike, not really the teams. SUC grads are the worst in my opinion. Yes, USC is a good school and they have plenty of FB tradition, but there are a bunch of schools like that who have grads that are not douche material at all times.
Mostly I think you will probably find the fans in the Pac-12 to be pretty good.

I hate USC grads. WIthout exception that I have seen, they are slimy spoiled back stabbing assholes. And those are the ones I like.

Also it used to be mauch of the hatred for the California schools was due to the fact that almost all Pac-10 refs were from the LA area and home cooking calls were common. Our new commish is taking that out of play though, so I hope we never have to talk about how horrible Pac-12 officiating is.

Arent most college campuses socialistic? I know I lived in Gainesville Florida, and they actually made laws to protect individuals who considered themselves to be the opposite sex (although physically they were not) to be able to use whichever bathrooms they chose. This has since been sacked since you could just make that claim as a pedophile or other sexual predator and go on protected peeping adventures...

But don't take offense. It's not just Pullman. It's everyplace. Berkely, Palo Alto, Tempe - you name it. We're better. And we'll keep telling you that. It's really all we have.
Oh, and we seem to have a pretty good basketball team, too. I'm not sure when that happened. It's a fairly new development.
