And the Broncos should have never won their first Super Bowl.I don't care who believes it. They didn't win their conference. They don't belong in the NC game.

What if Georgia, UCLA, Clemson, OU, and Wisconsin win their conferences this weekend.. how would you pair up the title game then?
So if Georgia and OU win this weekend, we could have a thrilling Virginia Tech/Stanford MNC game.
Whoops, Stanford didn't win their conference either. So Virginia Tech/Houston for the title!
Except Clemson could beat Va Tech. Houston/Boise for the MNC!!!
Oops, Boise didn't win their conference. Houston/Arky for the title!!!
Oh ****. Well, how about Houston/Oregon for the MNC???!!!!! :woot: :woot: :woot:
Unless Skippy goes out with a win, I guess. Houston/OU!!! That's the game I want to see for the title!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!! :woot:
How about Stanford, a one loss team vs UCLA, a six loss team? I'd still pick Stanford who also beat UCLA in the head-to-head.
And the Broncos should have never won their first Super Bowl.
You could make an argument for Oregon, Stanford or SC since they all beat each other, but only Oregon is in the game, so only Oregon (if they win) should be in the conversation.
Okay, let's say that Oregon does lose to UCLA, does that make UCLA the best team in the conference? Even better than Stanford?
I agree. Take the top 2 ranked teams. Anyone else is a wild card.If we had a playoff, I would support inviting maybe 2-4 teams that didn't win their conference, much like Wild Cards. Until then, I will not waver.
I agree. Take the top 2 ranked teams. Anyone else is a wild card.
As I've already said, UCLA shouldn't be in the game. It should be SC. UCLA is there only on a technicality.
I don't give a **** what conference they are in. I want to see the top 2 teams in the country play. Untill there is a playoff that should be the top 2 ranked teams. This year the choice is extraordinarily easy since the polls are unanimous by a large margin.Nope, I would take the 2 highest ranked conference champs. Not having to play in a CCG (Stanford, Bama) is a huge advantage in a situation like this. Would Bama beat Georgia? Who knows, but they don't have to prove it. They are an S-EEEEE-C team, so according to Chucky they are a formidable opponent.
So please explain OSU over Bama, assuming OSU beats OU this weekend.I don't give a **** what conference they are in. I want to see the top 2 teams in the country play. What's to explain? If they pass Bamma in the polls they should be in the MNC game.So please explain OSU over Bama, assuming OSU beats OU this weekend.

 If ever there was proof....Unless you use some sort of objective measure (like winning the conference), your argument of who is best is 100% subjective.
You sound like a ****ing Boise State fan. UA would have won any other conference out there and would be a favorite against any conference champion even on the road. Your *ebraska rule (I didn't think you guys wrote that word) should be renamed 'the rest of you suck rule'. The stupid 'fairness' complaints only show that D1 football needs a playoff.
I think rankings are less objective than winning a conference. Base it on winning a conference then you have to rate the conferencse to see who is most deserving.Unless you use some sort of objective measure (like winning the conference), your argument of who is best is 100% subjective.
This season, sounds like you should be arguing for OSU.I think rankings are less objective than winning a conference. Base it on winning a conference then you have to rate the conferencse to see who is most deserving.
Why, what poll has them at #2?This season, sounds like you should be arguing for OSU.
Bama couldn't get it done at home. What makes you think they will fare better at a neutral site? Might as well give another team a shot.

OSU lost to Iowa State and OU is going to beat them again this weekend.
Why, what poll has them at #2?
By going with the polls. If someone passes Bama after this weekend they play LSU.You're already doing that by pimping for Bama. How could you possibly say Bama would be more deserving than Okie Light (so long as they win Saturday)?
And Bama lost AT HOME to LSU already. Sit down and be quiet, little boy.
Fine, whatever happens the #2 team should play LSU (assuming they win).http://smartfootball.com/chase-stuart/simple-rating-system-for-11282011-finish-line-in-sight-the-final-picture-sharpens
With a win over OU, OSU would be #2. See my earlier arguments. SEC has been anything but a murderer's row this year.
You really don't understand do you? Fairness is for Girl Scouts not tackle football. Our 2nd best team is better than your best. Get better or STFU.
By going with the polls.
