It was said when Mel Tucker left that the coaching pool was about $3.1 Million. What was it currently? If we get buyouts from JJ and Kap that will help. But also means we might have to buyout the assistants we don’t keep. Should make Tucker pay
Sounds like news might trickle out today
To be clear, this is *not* regarding a pee tape? I need to know how to schedule my free time.Oooooh .... now I'm interested

Jim Knowles?I doubt it is anything but there’s a flight scheduled to Stillwater this afternoon
This will be Rick’s second HC hire. Except for a minor glitch that no AD could’ve foreseen, he hit a home run on his first hire. Remember, he inherited FHCMM.
I trust RG will hit a home run in his second hire as well and this time he will do all he can to find a guy that, if successful, will not seek greener pastures after a couple of seasons. But there are never guarantees. As long as the next guy leaves us better than we were, we will be okay.
That's what we need, a MAN; that way we can show up CSU's "dude."I doubt it is anything but there’s a flight scheduled to Stillwater this afternoon
He would. Doubt we can the cheddarThat's what we need, a MAN; that way we can show up CSU's "dude."
More seriously, Gundy would be a hell of a steal.
That's a whole different kind of path tracker.NSFW
Yeah. That’s a fair point. But all indications were pointing that way. In my opinion.I wouldn't go and call a coach a home run simply based on potential and promise after one year.

I’m off today. Can’t wait to refresh this page 1k times.

Been watching the turn of events at CU. Kind of a ****ty hand MT delt out.
What about Josh Heupel? He seems to win games at Central Florida. Recruits pretty good too and has connections.

Widely lauded as a home run in the coaching community, he brought in excitement and a massive top end talent upgrade, he brought new enthusiasm to the program not seen in decades and was then hired away to become one of the top dozen paid coaches in the country.
In fact, RG and LC did hit a home run last time. It turned out to be a solo shot in the 1st inning but a home run nonetheless.
It does take time to get your system in place...get the players you want to run your style of ball.He also went 5 and 7, lost at home to Air Force, made some questionable decisions that might have cost them the game against USC. All with a 5th year starter at QB and a future 1st rounder at WR.
I was encouraged by the recruiting class and that CU won some battles it seemed like they normally lose but calling him a home run seems a little hyperbolic.
Odds the new HC will have an assistant pool north of 3.75M?

Good list. Maybe add Thamel.Just set up the Twitter app so it pushes all Feldman, Schefter and Rapoport tweets to your phone's lock screen. Feldman will break it if it's a college coach, if it's EB it'll be one of the other 2.

You clearly lost any momentum in your take when you put stock in Montez as the QB. Did you even watch him play the past four years?
Nor was it Montez that gave up 30+ points and 450+ yards per game.It was not Mel that missed a half dozen wide open receivers in the AFA game.
