That's my biggest fear (and it's a HUGE FEAR) with Calhoun. Service Academy recruiting is hell and gone from normal college recruiting. If you liked the recruiting under Macintyre, you're going to LOVE this next guy!

You don't vote for head coach! At this point of the search I’m thinking that RG should just take the assistant coaches he has left and operate as an anarcho-syndicalist commune. Each AC can take turns to act as sort of executive officer for the week... All the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting in the off season by a simple majority in the case of purely practice matters, but by a two thirds majority in the case of game planning during the season.
This HC search process is no basis for a selecting leadership for a team. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the players, not from some farcical athletic department process.
Who will be our option quarterback next year ?
A stable coach who wins some games but lacks the ability to take it to the next level. Sure we’ll be ranked at times but I do t see pac twelve championship material from this hire if it’s true
He’s a good coach. He is. He’s a stable coach who wins games. But he’s probably never going to get cu to the final four. Just being honest.Um, is this where I point out that Tad won a P12 tourney and currently has his team tied for first with 3 weeks left in the season? Starting to question if you can actually read.
Don’t bring that weak ass “Tad level hire” and then disparage the man. Put some damn respect on his name.
TrueWe've averaged 4.3 wins a year since Barney left what you describe is a MASSIVE improvement.

Just not my dreams for cuTrue
Cue the head shot montage of the ~290 other D1 coaches who won't get their teams there either. He’s a good coach. He is. He’s a stable coach who wins games. But he’s probably never going to get cu to the final four. Just being honest.
I’d like to think we can be relevant again. If not why do we even have a football program. Are we now ok with being less than mediocre? Is that what I should expect from now on? I’d like more. And you’re expecting that from FOOTBALL?!? Holy **** man.
Hoops could make final 4 next year if everyone back.A stable coach who wins some games but lacks the ability take it to the next level. Sure we’ll be ranked at times but I do t see pac twelve championship material from this hire if it’s true
Lewis battles it out with K.D.Nixon. Hagan becomes more important. Lytle transfers to Sacramento State. Chev stays for 2020 then gets JC job at Northern Arizona.
Just not my dreams for cu
To say we’re not a legit 5 win squad would be disingenuous to returning seniors. We've averaged 4.3 wins a year since Barney left what you describe is a MASSIVE improvement.
Why not us? So shouldn’t we want more? I guess is all I am saying.Cue the head shot montage of the ~290 other D1 coaches who won't get their teams there either.
So do I . But these two candidates make me wonder if we’ll be seeing that in the near future.I dream of winning records - once we get those I'll worry about the next steps.

THE airport.
Someone should tell him there's no transfer portal in the real world.
Troy Calhoun would be a Mike Bohn-ass hire.
It would give me whatever the opposite of an erection is.
Keep in mind it’s a service academy so they sign 40-50 kids every year.Their beat writer on twitter said he signed 23 3 star recruits this year. At a service academy, that's pretty good.
Oooo yea then we can also do equal playtime!!At this point of the search I’m thinking that RG should just take the assistant coaches he has left and operate as an anarcho-syndicalist commune. In what sense(s)?
I trust he won’t go that way.Fair-but I still trust RG if he decides to go this way.
I trust he won’t go that way.
So RG wants to go the way, of not going that way? What I heard on 247 makes me think that's the way RG wants to go.
