And coming off of 5-7 I still think this is bull****.Tucker’s buyout should be like $10mil at this point.
This shouldn’t even be a possibility
There’s a trade off to a higher buyout that we probably couldn’t afford.Tucker’s buyout should be like $10mil at this point.

0% chance he would have been fired by now no matter the performance. There’s a trade off to a higher buyout that we probably couldn’t afford.
I’m surprised by the RG take! I really could not envision any AD doing more with less! That whole staff is so tight and so committed. RG takes All the shrapnel from the administration. He really is a great leaderRelax. If he stays, no harm done. If he leaves, you have to take a deep look at why he left or why he could leave (RG would be someone in my crosshairs)
Or Mel would’ve wanted a higher salary0% chance he would have been fired by now no matter the performance.
It should be $10mil until year 3
No one has been fired before their 2nd seasonOr Mel would’ve wanted a higher salary
0% chance is probably wrong, too, considering it’s happened in the last 10 years
Yeah, they do. Because they think they can't win/be successful where they are or they're up and comers looking to take the next big step. Mel might fall into either category or both. Doesn't change the fact that it's not a good look to his players and the fans who have bought in.Coaches interview elsewhere all the time
You’re right, I read that wrongNo one has been fired before their 2nd season
If Tucker's buyout is only really 3 million, who else do you blame? Who else do you blame for MM's buyout language being awful?I’m surprised by the RG take! I really could not envision any AD doing more with less! That whole staff is so tight and so committed. RG takes All the shrapnel from the administration. He really is a great leader
SameI've lost a lot of respect for Mel, until proven otherwise.
Maybe it was a stipulation by Tucker’s side which would be a red flag to begin with.Tucker’s buyout should be like $10mil at this point.

I doubt that. It would make sense for Tucker to have a larger buyout so he is more protected.Maybe it was a stipulation by Tucker’s side which would be a red flag to begin with.
Are buyouts to fire a coach (AD pays) always the same as buyouts for a coach leaving for another job (AD gets paid)?I doubt that. It would make sense for Tucker to have a larger buyout so he is more protected.
No. ADs, including ours, are getting fleecedAre buyouts to fire a coach (AD pays) always the same as buyouts for a coach leaving for another job (AD gets paid)?

I have the same sentiment. I can only wonder what's going on in the heads of players he has recruited up to this point. This makes me question sending in my renewal, although that affects more than just the coach. I know this **** happens but the timing and everything he has said really changes my opinion of him. I’ve lost a lot respect for him too for even interviewing, after 1 year? Unreal.
You know what also happens often, P5 coaches closing the door on speculation by remaining committed to their team.Big. Boy. Football.
it’s that simple.
this happens in all kinds of jobs.
They see the potential and are willing to pay for it.No comprendo why MSU would even target a 1st year HC who went 5-7 (same as the year prior), with a middling recruiting class. If Tucker gets the job I'm blaming the shorts.......damn you ****ing shorts!
