I get tired of the "lets blame Embree" excuse. Embree has the job 22 months and had one full recruiting class. MacIntyre has had 3 full recruiting classes and has had twice as long as Embree on the job. I think guys like Spruce displayed plenty of leadership.
MacIntyre has failed to recruit over many of Embree's recruits - Liufau, Linsay, Ross, J. Irwin, Kough, Kelley, Kronshage, S. Irwin, Tupou, Gilbert, and Derrick McCartney are all projected to be starters and were recruited to the program by Embree. So half of the starters and several contributors are from the old regime going into year 4 of the new regime. The burned down argument was used by Dan Hawkins also.
Hahaha your bias in this situation becomes more apparent every time you post. You constantly distort facts to fit your opinion of Mac. We get it, you don't think he is a good coach and obviously as a person and I have seen you post valid reasons before but now it is just over the top. In your first sentence, you even say Embree had one full recruiting class but Mac has had three despite one of his classes not suiting up a game for the Buffs yet and a transition class which was technically Embree's.
To compare the situations that Hawkins took over and Mac took over is laughable and not debatable no matter how you want to spin it. A team that won the big-12 north, despite it being a weak division, to a team that lost to a 4 win CSU team that finished tied for 6th in a 10-team non power five conference, and a 6-win FCS team that finished in a 3 way tie with UNC for 5th in conference. Combine this with a ****ty reputation as an athletic department (especially athletic director) and the worst facilities in a power five conference and you have a situation that rivaled Kansas after Weiss left.
So in his fourth year on the job he has recruited players such as Shay Fields, Tim Lynott, Chido, Tedric Thompson, Isiah Oliver, Witherspoon, Afo, Gillam, Lee, Carrell, Leo Jackson, Kabion Ento, Shane Callahan, Juwan Winfree, Franke and Falo that are all supposed to be significant contributors as non freshman (which there are a couple that will contribute out of a 16 player class) and you want to say he hasn't brought in any players other than those that Embree brought in. Guys like Irwin, Kelley and Kronsage are all upper clansmen that should be on top of the depth chart to begin with.
There are very valid arguments as to why Mac should not be the coach this year or especially after this year but consistently claiming he over exaggerates the situation he inherited is not one of them. Bringing the wrong coaches and not moving on from coaches soon enough is where the discussion should begin.
