Mike MacIntyre officially fired effective immediately

I saw Finding Nemo with my son when he was a real little guy. He got very upset about Nemo not being able to find his dad. Which made me cry. I'll never forget that. It's actually making me a little misty right now just thinking about it.

How would what I posted above not fire up a football team? This is real life lessons, people!

This beats drafting Gas Gathering Agreements any day. Holy crap. Love the Yoders. It reminds me of when my buddies had to reinforce our home bench press in high school with spot-welded angle iron so we didn't wreck the frame throwing around weight. So, to make this relevant, Traeger is to the Leach Air Raid as Yoder is to a Holgerson/Wickline Air Raid attack.
Yoder's in person are just awesome, but the second you look at the price tag, you **** your pants. I went with a Camp Chef Woodwind SG. Rec Tec and GMG are also good, Traeger is the standard (they were first on the pellet scene).

Ann Henry speaks the truth. One of MM's first pre game talks centered on the movie, "Finding Nemo" he lost 1/2 of the team then and there. His initial S and C guy was a dud also....many of the team OL and DL guys were going to either loren landow or matt mcchesney on their own dime. MM was a very nice guy..but some of the stuff behind the scenes would make lee corso blush
Ms. Woman, I like you. I don't know anything about you, but I like you. Now, please go into more detail about how he used Finding Nemo. Did he cast himself as the father fish? Or as Dora? Did he comment on the selfishness of the seagulls and the consequences of only caring about "mine"? Did he lament the moral quandary of the great white shark? If so, did he say "Fish are friends, not food?"

So many questions.

It was a heartwarming story, but just not believable. I've seen a lot of ****ing fish in my day, and only ONE of them could talk. And he tasted ****ing terrible.

One and a half stars.
Could you please tell me which little hellish corner of the internet has all the fish porn? I'm asking for @Liver, he loves cold fish. Preferably old and racist.

Darth..i will take that as a compliment - it was at Udub...."no matter what goes on during the game, just look at me and i will move my arms and tell you to just keep swimming" also, final game of that season...usc in the bitter cold...same theme.."you know the cars where you just need a key fob? [ no key push to start ] well, start the car, throw the key away and keep driving" half the team started giggling....we parental units were like, " oh man, 3 more years of these talks?"

He didn't even delve beyond the catch phrase from the first 5 minutes? No wonder he wasn't a success. ****, he was just in California. He could have talked about the bad ass turtle surfer dude! Ugh, so basic. Ride the ****in wave Mac!

I'm not even sure I understand the analogy. Which is usually a bad sign. Or I'm an idiot.

could be both.

Let's kick the man when he is down on how terrible a motivator he is and how J Mac was mean. This is the way Division 1 football players parent's act? High school parents are more mature than this. It's a public forum. There are so many stories that I have of a player being a douche bag, partying too hard, bitching about coaches, but I don't post it on a message board because that's not the right place to do that.

That's right. You don't snitch. No way Nemo would have gotten out of that tank if someone had snitched to Nemo that the volcano was bull****.

I agree. A lot of the personal criticisms I've been reading here lately are in very poor taste.

That USC game still pisses me off.

Probably our best chance to beat them, and get that monkey off our back. We're playing a game in cold the likes of which none of their coddled players have ever seen. Everything is aligning.

And then MM comes out dressed like the marshmallow man* and Ed Orgeron, a man that grew up and spent most of his life in the heat of Bayou where 70° is "cold," comes casually running out with no hat and a short sleeve shirt. I knew then that any chance we had for an emotional and mental edge was out the window.

*Yes, I'm exaggerating how bundled up MM was, but he was bundled up - meanwhile Orgeron was undoubtedly freezing his ass off, but he knew he had to set an example for his players otherwise the cold would **** with them, so he gutted it out.

Oh poor Mac walking away with a $10 million buyout. He lost to the benny the beaver after the team was up by 28. These player parent insights are gold and help explain losing to the beavers among many other pathetic losses

that was a cold ass night. We were going for the kill and Sefo threw that damn pick.

Actually, you are not. That was the first thing I noticed. I was like, what did he come from a polar expedition? He looked ridiculous.

ski...yessir....the kids mentioned orgeron's outfit after the game. nutty as it was, during the pregame, a full quarter of the CU team came out in some variety of cut off tee shirt, etc to get a reaction from the usc players..coach ed negated that...again, MM is a great man, but some of the subtle things that went on were maddening...@ oregon state...danny munyer blocks downfield as the OSU defense was teeing off on the CU qb...munyer legally blocked a guy at the whistle...questionable unsportsmanlike call from the zebra...danny just protecting his mate...MM throws a tantrum and takes danny out of the game - and sat him for the rest of the game. c'mon...these guys had played the previous season under what was basically an nfl staff. with EB, Embro, Marshall, etc. where every conversation was mf this and mf that...basic salty football lingo....then at ASU...the team was depleted due to injuries...sucking wind on the heels of final exams and a full week of the S and C guy's crossfit horses_+t...same thing happens...ASU guy takes a real cheap shot at frosh qb sefo...jack harris runs to the rescue....MM slams the headphones down and yells to take harris out of the game...again, the rest of the game....my dude, it's football....lineman are taught to protect their guys at all costs....and they are taught that in middle school...file that bs under the " changing the culture" icon...that has been a problem with CU teams for the last 5 years. Do you want to play big boy ball or hope to go .500 but be gentlemen on the field?

wow. why so angry, man? an old racist cold fish? your mummsy is going to put you into timeout after that slur. by the way, she'd say hello, but her turkey legs are currently basting in the hot tub.

we're in a good place-- we're about to hire a new coach and he's going to be awesome.

happy thanksgiving.

I sure don't oppose what's happened, but I don't see much was gained by firing MM now, rather than telling him and the world the Cal game is his last and starting the search for his replacement. Much nicer for him and his family. Are they saying they think this gives us a better shot of winning on Saturday?

I remember both of those plays and literally said wtf?

yes. and, it starts the official search going, which is extra important with the early signing day coming up. he's going to be fine. don't worry.

Needed to officially start the search in order to have it wrapped up by as early as next week for recruiting purposes.

It allows HCMM to begin his own job search now. It avoids media leaks surrounding MM or RG pursuing jobs or candidates.

It's usually better to rip the band-aid off and is the right thing to do in terms of how you treat the person you're firing, too.

Finding Nemo? I rooted for MM to succeed in spite of the obviously high dweeb factor, but I had no idea he was an even bigger dweeb behind closed doors. I mean, seriously? A movie aimed at 4 year olds? o_O

I could've told you everything that they've said, but they also missed the part of honoring a player's scholarship for six years just to have him suspended for the first three games. Just saying...

let me just say here, for the record, we welcome all moms of all players-- gruntled or disgruntled. also, let me know if we need to send along care packages of jaeger or something so that the insights will continue to flow, like 3.2 beer.

Nah. That presser was a death sentence. No. Way. In. Hell. He. Survives. That.
