NCAA 2024 Tourney game thread - #5 seed WOMEN'S Bball - Sweet 16 game vs. #1 seed Iowa (Albany, NY; Sat., 3/30, 1:30 PM MT; ABC)

Having a poor shooting day so far. That's not something that can be overcome in this one. Need to settle down a bit and find a rhythm.

Yea, have we even made a 3 yet? I don't recall one

Have to say that was a nice pass by CC to close out the quarter

Buffs look nervous and disjointed on offense. More possession needs to go through Vonleh.

Vonleh needs the ball every single possession to help pull the outside defenders off the 3-point shooters, should be in inside-out game and rack up fouls on the Iowa bigs

I don’t watch much women’s basketball. Compared to men there is a much larger talent gap, 1 through 7, than with the guys. The skill level for the elite women has improved a lot in 10 or 15 years.

Also, the men have a ton more parity than the women, obviously. I was hoping our ladies would give Iowa a run for their money, and they still could, but we are too soft on D and aren’t hitting shots. A really bad combination!!

One more thing: I thought officiating in the men’s game was bad, but the officiating in the women’s game takes bad to a whole other level.

Stuhlke has fouled every single time
Does Womens basketball have a verticality rule?
If the defenders arms are outwardly over the top of our player and our player goes up, that is a foul every single time?
