New Hampshire Wildcats - Official Pregame Thread

I'm going to the Cal game and was planning on DVRing the New Hampshire game. However, it looks like the game is not available here on TV so I can't set the dvr. Does pac12.com, the app, or anywhere else have full game replays?

****ing heat.

My parents have bailed from the game tomorrow, and my wife doesn't want the 4 year old to go, which is admittedly a good idea since he melts.

I know my 9 year old will be complaining the whole time. It will be imperative that CU scores a **** load of points in the first half so if the complaining gets out of hand we can leave early.

I took that deal a few months ago to upgrade to club seats for this game, and boy am I pleased with that decision. Kiddos would have otherwise complained until we left the game (they still might).

projected high of 90 with normal (lack of) Colorado humidity? what the hell are you talking about with "heat"?

holding a thought for you. taking young ones to the game and keeping them entertained sufficiently for parents to actually watch can be an expensive PITA.

The sun at altitude is no joke. A very sunny day at 5,300 feet can feel much hotter than it is, and really, believe or not, humidity actually helps with the intensity of the sun. The sun is more intense in September than any other time of year, imo, because there's very little humidity but it's still pretty high in the sky. Add in 90+ degrees and no wind, it sucks, especially in a concrete stadium with metal bleachers and no shade.

Rockies game (sun and heat) was brutal yesterday.

I bet.

Some of the most uncomfortable sporting events I've gone to have been at Folsom, Mile High and Coors Field in September. Heat-wise. I've attended multiple miserable football games in places like Ft Collins and Colorado Springs in November.

To be clear, this is intended to be good natured shjt-giving. If your family won't be happy at the game, by all means leave them at home and have the most fun you can have without.

But I'm confused what you mean by "helps with the intensity of the sun" (burning?). I know that humidity makes hot days feel hotter and cold days feel colder. From experience, an 85 day in Raleigh is far more miserable than a 100 day in Phoenix.

I don't know how to explain it other than being in the sun just feels hotter than at lower elevations, much hotter. The biggest difference between this and humid heat though is that there is usually pretty immediate relief when you get into the shade, however, when it's 95, that's debatable. Either way, when you're in seats at Folsom with no chance of shade all game, it doesn't matter anyway.

As far as comparison to Phoenix, I was in Denver on a 98 degree day this summer and drove to Phoenix. We were checking out apartments for my kid. 106 in Phoenix is nothing compared to 98 in Denver.

Then it climbed to 110. 110 is just ****ing hot no matter what.
