Official 2016 All-in-One Assistant Coaches Compendium Thread - hagan in, bernardi to te, adams ol -

Neinas. Apparently he's, like, the nicest guy in the ****ing world!
Intriguing. I hear that he has extensive experience with someone paving the way for him, so run blocking should be improved. I also heard a rumor that he was a potential candidate for the DL job if Jeffcoat leaves. Apparently, his dad...er, he killed it in the interview with a revolutionary 9 man front concept. The Nine Ass Line, he called it. Let's see Stanford try and run on that!

I honestly have no idea where MacIntyre would look to replace Bernardi. I think there is a slight possibility that Jeffcoat may pursue opportunities in Texas. Not sure either guy enjoys the recruiting grind.

Then don't take college jobs if recruiting isn't your thing.

It was a year ago today that it was announced that Baer and LaRussa "left" CU for UNLV. Hopefully we find out soon about the remaining staff changes. Bernardi seems the likely candidate. I would be fine if he was the last change and they spread around the ST duties.

They are spreading around special teams duties. Likely will see a RB coach added and Adams will get a different assignment, largely dependent on what happens with Bernardi.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings any, tired of watching us get pushed around everywhere. Any good rb coaches available out there?

I sure hope we replace Bernardi.
Wickline is available. Brad Davis from ECU is also available. There will also be some NFL OL coaches available in the near future.
Not sure if Adams is ready to coach the OL solo; but, could see him coaching TE and OT with another coach for interior OL.
I like the idea of getting a rb coach. They tend to be the best recruiters on a staff.

Didn't Darrin do some special teams work at Tech?
His twitter bio lists him as the Special Teams Coordinator at TT, and apparently he was pretty good at it.

Edit: Not insinuating he will be our STC, just answering the question.

Not advocating for valuing former players over any other qualified coach, but several CU alumni are coaching OL currently. The ones in college are a little short on the resume and the one I know of in the NFL is probably earning more money doing that. We've got enough former players involved with the team that I don't think we need any more nostalgia stories that put us back in the Embree era.

DC is not going to coach Special Teams.
Yes, you can read the press release on the DC hiring.

Until all coaches are fired/hired, I'd slow-the-roll down on what each Assistant's role will ultimately be. Expect a committee and I'd expect DC will have a role in that, as will Adams, Clark, etc.

I would imagine he will help in some capacity. However, he is coaching WR's and Co-OC, so I would imagine his role will be very limited with ST's. The Co-OC title could be more of a job title promotion and nothing more, but I think there is more to it than that.

Probably nothing, but a couple of our coaches are now following Steve Spurrier, Jr.
Adam also followed him, hard to believe that's a coincidence. He has a history of working with TEs and WRs, maybe a TE/Inside WRs coach?

That would be a weird fit IMO. Guess we would be going "all in" with Florida though.

He's also the guy that Bob Stoops had at Oklahoma in the 90s coaching WRs in the Mike Leach offense. Mike Stoops later had him bring those concepts to Arizona. Looks like he recruited Jacksonville for South Carolina. But I also saw he got some guys in Missouri and Tennessee. Not sure what he did back in the OU and UA days.

Maybe Arizona + Jacksonville as his primary recruiting grounds? That would be an upgrade that would also allow Clark to spend more time in Los Angeles.

get recruiters in. many of us doubted that the whole staff from the junior division was capable of recruiting at this level. they got huge raises and didn't deliver. big boy football isn't for everyone. get guys who can do what it takes. i am glad that changes were made last year and that changes are being made now, but i am pissed that we have to suffer through a learning experience while we come to the conclusion that we need guys that can recruit.

my guess is that we will have an S&C coach by January 1st.... That's Chiaverini gets here plus classes don't start back until the 11th anyways, so even if he isnt here til then we are still fine.

I will be a fan of whatever wins, but a move to the Air Raid offense is not something to look forward to.
