Dan Hawkins named HC at UC Davis.
That is not a very coveted job. FAU job is behind UF, FSU, the U, UCF, USF, and FIU. Zero fan support and Boca Raton (aka Silicon Valley) is culturally a world away from Tampa where Leavitt used to coach. Further, I personally doubt Leavitt is interested in a stepping stone job into the P5. At his age, FAU is where you go to retire, like Howard Schnellenberger did.
Hmm
When/if Oregon opens, the expectation is that Western Michigan’s P.J. Fleck and Boise State’s Bryan Harsin would both be prime candidates. But don’t be surprised if Oregon pursues splashier names such as Penn State’s James Franklin and North Carolina’s Larry Fedora, who are both at Nike-affiliated schools. There also are whispers that Florida’s Jim McElwain could be intrigued by the opportunity to return to the Pacific Northwest, close to where he went to college and started his coaching career at Eastern Washington. Despite winning SEC East titles in his first two years, McElwain has been a bit under-appreciated by the Florida fan base and just got a new athletics director in Gainesville.
Georgia Tech is one job that we all do not want to open!!!!!! There are only two other jobs in my opinion that Coach McIntyre would consider and they are Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. Let's keep Paul Johnson there for as long as possible!
Lots of junk in that UC Davis trunk.
He's gonna love em' up!
Good luck to him, I don't hold any ill will towards the guy - he was a bad coach here, but he seemed like a decent enough guy.
I hold a ton of ill will towards the guy. He's a complete fraud and he set back Colorado football ten years. I wish nothing but the worst for him. Maybe he will do fine at a place that will put up with his bull****.Good luck to him, I don't hold any ill will towards the guy - he was a bad coach here, but he seemed like a decent enough guy.
'It'?There was a Stephen King story that covered this subject.
I have to wonder if Mike Gundy is finally ready to jump ship. If he loses to Oklahoma this weekend, can he really take Okie Lite any higher?
No he cannot. And f*ck you for getting Creed stuck in my head.I have to wonder if Mike Gundy is finally ready to jump ship. If he loses to Oklahoma this weekend, can he really take Okie Lite any higher?
He's spent the better part of 2 decades at the school.
If the info is true that he and the AD and THE booster are having occasional marital spats, he might finally be ready for a change of scenery.
He was so close to leaving for Tennessee a while ago, he may get only so more opportunities.
Montgomery from Tulsa maybe the next ****bailer target?
Bwaaaahahahaha! **** bailer.
What happens first? Does bailer get a second recruit, or do they get a head coach?
As long as you're going to be a pariah, might as well go for it all.Waiting for them to announce that they're bringing back Art Briles.
