Buyout may have gone down as the calendar year rolled over.Holy cow, Cal. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out the timing on that one.

I hadn't thought of that....Buyout may have gone down as the calendar year rolled over.
Leavitt and the WSU guy but that is about it right? Lots of carry over from USF and I wouldn't call Clark a dream hire lol.Oregon has basically hired a dream staff
That's hugeOregon hiring Wazzu's DL coach.

They won't win a natty in the next two years. They probably won't even win the North in the next two years. I think Stanford and UW have that division locked up for the foreseeable future.Phil Knight is doing everything in his power to buy a National Championship within two years. I would image that staff blows up after that.

True. Uncle Phil will write whatever checks he needs to.Not going to keep Nike from trying.
Good point. Basically bringing in a staff that he has never worked with. Could get interesting. It will be interesting to watch how that staff actually meshes together.
Cal going triple option? Please let that be true. From FS:
Cal: Sources tell FootballScoop Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo has been contacted by Cal and is considered a strong candidate for the position. Several other programs have reached out to Niumatalolo over the past few seasons, including within the past month. None, so far, have been able to entice Niumatalolo to leave. Perhaps this will be the one… Will update as more is clear.
If they are serious about the reform of their academic standards for athletes - and a lot of evidence points that way - going to a gimmick offense might be the only way they can remain competitive on the field.Cal running the triple option gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.
It would also remove them as a direct rival for many recruits in California. If they are serious about the reform of their academic standards for athletes - and a lot of evidence points that way - going to a gimmick offense might be the only way they can remain competitive on the field.
Georgia Tech plays in a P5 conference, and turns in winning seasons more often than not.
Of course, Cal would be essentially be giving up on any dreams of a MNC, but that was never really in the cards anyway, so would they really be giving anything up?
Cal going triple option? Please let that be true.
