Mike Riley was a strange choice, IMO, at Nebraska - just did not seem like a fit. Riley and Jim Mora are two name coaches that seem to be on borrowed time.
I always thought the Riley hire at Nebraska was odd too

He'd be scary good at ASU if they could afford it (Graham's buyout + Petrino's buyout + Petrino's salary). Used to be QB Coach there. Have to think he'd be #1 on their wish list.May have been mentioned elsewhere, but an interesting side note to this basketball scandal is with Jurich being fired Petrino's buyout is cut in half from 8.5 mil to 4.25 mil.

Petrino /= Pitino...If the FBI and the DOJ carry this this out to it's potential end I don't think we will see Petrino as well as a number of other coaches anytime soon. Not many colleges are going to entertain hiring somebody who is on probation after taking a plea to stay out of jail.
Maybe flashcards would help.Petrino /= Pitino...
I think you might be getting Louisville coaches confused, at least one of them (so far) is not known to be the subject of an FBI investigation.

Petrino will leave at the end of this year.....but he's going to Tennessee I think.
I believe that Tennessee likes to be turned down by Jon Gruden before turning to other candidates.I agree that Petrino will leave but I think Tennessee will try to hire Kelly or Stoops first. And of course there could be some other big SEC programs looking for new coaches too - Auburn, A&M, LSU and Florida are schools that could potentially have openings.

I wonder how they feel about Jay Gruden.I believe that Tennessee likes to be turned down by Jon Gruden before turning to other candidates.
I have relatives who are LSU fans...yes, he is on the hot seat.Never thought I would say this this early in his tenure but coach orgeron has to be on the hot seat right now right?
Going to be rough for that ad to pay his and miles buyout in back to back seasons.I have relatives who are LSU fans...yes, he is on the hot seat.

Orgeron will make $3.5 million per year as part of a five-year contract. His Year 1 buyout is $12 million.
Former coach Les Miles, fired Sept. 25, 2016, made $4.3 million per year, and the school owes him a buyout of more than $9 million — paid in monthly installments over six years. The program saved $800,000 with Orgeron's salary, funds the school used on coordinators Dave Aranda and Matt Canada. The duo is set to make a combined $3.3 million this year, believed to be more than any other coordinator duo in college football.
