Official 2018 Fall Camp Thread

From CUBuffs.com..

When Colorado's Jaylon Jackson gathered in a pass Tuesday and took it to the end zone in CU's first full-pads practice of fall camp, it was hard to tell who was more excited — Jackson, his teammates or his coaches.

So happy to hear this!

CSU being first might explain closing fall practices, but does not really explain closing spring practices.

That's when the offense was installed given this is Chev's offense now. Not saying that's a reason to close them but if that's their reasoning then spring would apply also I'd think .

They're not doing THAT much in spring.

Chev started making his mark on this offense when he got here-not like we're going from Air Force's offense to Texas Tech's in nine months guys.

We are going to keep the playbook mostly closed for the first three games, boys, since we don’t have significant competition until we hit PAC 12 conference play.

Then we only face UCLA and ASU next, so no need to open it then.

By the time we face USC, we will 5-0 and ready to unlock the full fury of our offense. USC won’t know what hit them!

No. We still need to drop 50 points on Nebraska.

Speaking of Callier:

"He is quicker, more agile, and I think he is close to the weight that is perfect for him," said Colorado defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach D.J. Eliot.

Let's argue that water is wet.

If there's anything to worry about exposing something to CSU as you yourself mentioned Duff, it would be any specific change from the Lindgren era. Or perhaps a D wrinkle.

If such a change happened, it would have been installed last spring and you know it.

I don't think that is the reason though, just think HC thinks he gets more focus without the press and RG let's him do it.

I think it pretty stupid regardless.

I hope MacIntyre can handle inflated expectations he himself creates.

Wondering why the pessimism on Callier? I'm never expecting him to be great in coverage, but that's not OLBs do in a 3-4.

Not sure how well he can hold up in run defense, just as I am not sure if Falo is a competent pass rusher.

Fair enough. I think 230-240 is plenty big to hold up against the run. Just depends on if he can trust his reads and hold the edge.
