Official 2020 Fall Camp Thread

Going into a year with the idea that losing games is okay is a recipe for disaster. It sends the the message to your team that losing is acceptable and once that mentality gets established it is very hard to change.

Also to recruits you are who they perceive you to be. Lose a lot of games and you are a loser, and given a choice most recruits don't want to play for a loser.

This team has lost enough games in recent years that losing has become the norm. The only thing that will change that is winning games. We aren't good enough to contend but we need every win we can get.

hmmm ... why haven’t we tried this yet?! You’re on to something Mtn. Keep digging.

Was responding to a post about the idea of using the year as a throw away year. Use it to develop talent for the future rather than play your best people now.

Desperate times for Sparty. He was literally the one, semi-high profile guy they could throw money at and get

At least they got someone. In typical CU fashion, we paid a fortune for a low profile guy who eats regular Cheerios. No honey nut here.

Like we paid for the Hot & Spicy Cheez-It but we just got the regular Cheez-It (even though they cost the same price)? Then I still don't get it.

La'vontae has got some moves and looks quick. I think he's going to be really good for CU. Not in the same style Viska was, but in a more traditional WR role.

Wonder if CU could shorten these videos to less than a minute? Don't want to show too much and incur the enraged wrath of Plati.

As an aside, it's amazing how an abusive bully has been allowed a free reign for 30+ years, while confronting and attacking media members, staff and fans. Too bad no one, including Rick George, has the courage to get him out of CU.

Plati has been at CU since the 70’s. I’d guess he’s getting close to retirement.

Better be careful. PlatI is vindictive.

New media and fans on new media platforms seem to dislike Plati.
This is because Plati has never figured out how to work with new media and fans on new media platforms. Preferring to limit their access and/or punish them for any perceived slight against the Buffs.

Players, coaches, and TV media seem to like Plati.

New media and fans on new media platforms seem to dislike Plati.

The reason for that disparity is due to the fact that Plati treats players, coaches and TV media like royalty, and fans like scum. He really doesn’t make any bones about his disdain for those outside his bunker.

Yep.

But, point is, Plati knows who butters his bread, and it would appear that he’ll be at CU as long as he wishes. Internally, there doesn’t appear to be any rumblings to push him out

I always liked Plati. He's really good at pop-a-shot, too.

Is it just me or do those helmets look not quite white and not quite grey - they almost look sort of stone colored.

I'm seeing the same thing as you are. Going to be curious how the whites turn out. Will the whites be the same LA Rams white?

So painfully boring and underwhelming is Dorrell, that it even trickles to his cereal choice: the mundane, cardboard-tasting regular Cheerios.
