Official 2025 Fall Camp Thread

I am buying into what I'm seeing way too much. The team as a whole seems like a tier above previous years. Just seems like more of what I expect from a P5 team
Everyone I talk to in-house has said since spring camp that this team will be better than last year's. Bigger, faster, stronger, smarter and better across all positions.
Also, hate him all you want but Shurmer is talking that this is the offense he has wanted to run and is actually having fun with it. <Gasp>
We are good enough through the 1s and 2s at every position to win at least 8. The questions are 1) QB, 2) Leadership, 3) Gelling as a team.

Like I've said a few times already, bet the house on the win total OVER. If you're not a gambler, become one.

booty had me like GIF
I love Peko's positive energy!

If nothing else, I was happy to see some pre-snap motion on one of the Well Off videos. Progress!

Now that you are actively encouraging everyone to become gamblers, are you willing to house everyone on AllBuffs when they lose theirs?

I'm bullish about the defense this year and believe it'll be among the top 5 or so in the Big 12. I'm worried about depth at ILB, but past that, this defense will be legit. I also think O Miller can be an All-American if he can stay healthy and plays to his potential. I am not sure CU has had a WR of his caliber since Viska (size, speed combo).

Having a new QB, I expect some growing pains here and there. Absolutely have to find a running game to ease that a bit. I do think this team is more talented than it has been in quite awhile,.THunt not withstanding. Just mean more depth. We shall see but I expect some big games.

Our 2’s would boat race the 2022 team.

Speaking of this...

I was clicking through the roster when it updated and was struck by something when looking at Kaleb Mathis' bio. Reading that again and watching how he contributes in practice and the little game time has me convinced that he would have been a top recruit under the previous regime. Contrast that against the fact that outside of special teams and some garbage time snaps on O, he is unlikely to make much of a contribution under Coach Prime. It is mind boggling how far we have come in such a short amount of time.

The other side of that improvement is the huge leap in Special Teams play that we get from having a higher floor of players in the program. We don't have to run out the 2-deep to have quality Special Teams depth. Sure, there are times when you want one of your elite players to return punts or block FGs, but it's the overall team speed and athleticism that makes your Special Teams... um.... special... (sorry 'bout that).
