Official ****braska Hate Thread

Howdy boys, I forgot all about registering here on AllBuffs back in May when I bought my tickets until now. Glad to see that animosities have yet to thaw and September 7 can’t get here soon enough. **** ****braska.

I was looking over the CU coaching staff and saw that Jay Johnson is the Buffs’ OC. Last I knew he was the OC for Claeys at Minnesota and ran a quasi-power spread with Leidner at QB. Is that the direction CU is going offensively or do you think it will similar to what Chiaverini was doing last year (since I saw he’s still on staff)?
Yes.

CU is probably going to pass the ball more this season because it's questionable if CU will have a running game this season despite the OL beefing up in the weight room this winter. Still have Montez and Shenault Jr who had no problems moving against the Huskers last year.

Jay Johnson will be calling the plays. Chiaverini earned his assistant head coach position by busting his behind in recruiting the last few years.

CU is a much better team at home than the road game and the Buffs have been subpar on the road except 2016 dating back to 2006. I don't think that necessarily bodes well for Nebraska. Also home opener for the Buffs under Tucker and CU will have game tape of the Huskers this time around.

We beat them with no game tape and an inferior coach to the one we have now last year!

I gotta say, it’s amazing how much confidence you guys have, defying what the rest of the country thinks about this game. (Huskers will be favored by around 10 points, which will be one of our more favored games) Let’s dive into why the pros feel this way!

Last year: Huskers have a completely new coaching staff, scheme, and true freshman quarterback who didn’t even play his senior year of high school, on top of that did not get a warmup game...Pretty Tall task already. The Biffs STILL needed a HUSKER player to commit a game losing penalty to barely win the game (he graduated). I have to reiterate, a true freshman quarterback, led a quarterback dominated offense to over 600 yards...in his first collegiate game...

This year: The Huskers come off of a red hot finish to last season, coming into their own under the new staff. Martinez is picked by Vegas with the 6th highest odds to win the Heisman. Nebraska is is tied for the 12th highest odds to win the National Championship. Montez and Colorado are nowhere on these lists. Colorado has a brand new staff with some very green coaches. You guys are really underestimating the rebuilding of a new staff (trust me, we’ve been through a few!) You know Colorado lacks serious depth on both sides of the ball. Nebraska constantly out-recruits Colorado. It does not look good. It’s hard to give Colorado a chance in this one.

I actually told your fans on a different forum immediately after last year’s game in Lincoln: That was not a good looking win for you guys, we beat ourselves. I expect Colorado to fall well below expectations for their season. I honestly didn’t think it would be THAT bad. Of course I was laughed at, called a methhead, etc. You know, all the simpleton responses. But there you have it.
Huskers 49-35

You beat yourselves? Had to have a Husker player commit a game losing penalty? So I guess you forgot we missed two field goals prior to that which would have given us the lead in that game....so actually we won despite missing field goals and trying to beat ourselves. Good analogy though.

And the Huskers knocked out K.D. Nixon on a cheap play as well.

Rest of the country’s thoughts>>>>>>Colorado fans thoughts. I’m just letting you know why collectively, the betting public is favoring Nebraska. By even more than last year...when the Muffaloes are at home. The new staff at Colorado may be good someday, but with an overhaul like that it’s gonna take time. More than 1 game. It makes sense though. Colorado has trouble attracting a good coach with a good staff because the budget is lower, fan support is much lower, cost of living in Boulder is much higher. It’s tough for you guys.

We had no idea what exactly we were gonna see last year with Nebraska. I thought we would win the game just because I was being a homer but the circumstances were too much to overcome. This year I’m being objective. Year 2 is statistically the biggest improvement year in any new staff on average and everyone saw Frost blow that outta the water at UCF. You guys still (non objectively) call him the inferior coach. How many games has coach Tucker won as a head coach again? I remember when we hired one of the best defensive coordinators in the nation out of the SEC a few years back. He was slightly above mediocre for 7 years. I just don’t see a logical reason to favor the buffs other than just being a homer and hoping there’s magic in the air. “Of course you don’t see it, you have cow **** all over your face!!” There, now you don’t have to say it...:D

Red hot finish to last season? I'd call that more showing you have a pulse-You beat FCS Bethune Cookman, Illinois (one of the worst teams in the Power 5), and got moral victories against Ohio State and Iowa.

Don't forget that victory against Michigan St. They got out gained by Sparty, failed to score a touchdown, but still somehow won.

WHITE ****ing HOT!!!!

I always love how the fusker mentality automatically assumes “the rest of the country” agrees with him.

It doesn’t.

We finished 4-2. Compared to 0-7??? Speaking of worst team in the FBS. Oregon State? At home? Compared to the Fluffs I’d say we finished hotter than a Coloradan piss balloon during self destruction fan day. Watch THAT happen again :X3:

It's a common misconception that the piss balloons are body temperature. It's not like we just piss in them, tie them off, and throw them. It takes planning and stockpiling, which often requires refrigeration. In sum, many things are hotter than a Coloradan piss balloon.

The betting favorite is Nebraska because of people like you betting on Nebraska. I think Frost is a good football coach-you're going to be better. Are you going to win the Big 10 West? No-I think Wisconsin is probably a much safer pick.

Sportsbooks are capitalizing on your inbred blind optimism and you're not only too stupid to notice, but bragging about them taking your money.

Fuskers would be bet down to being national title favorites every year if the red horde didn't spend all their money on meth before placing their bets. Vegas LOVES the Fuskers, but not because they're any good.
