Rubes completely unprepared for the current era.

I gotta say, it’s amazing how much confidence you guys have, defying what the rest of the country thinks about this game. (Huskers will be favored by around 10 points, which will be one of our more favored games) Let’s dive into why the pros feel this way!

Last year: Huskers have a completely new coaching staff, scheme, and true freshman quarterback who didn’t even play his senior year of high school, on top of that did not get a warmup game...Pretty Tall task already. The Biffs STILL needed a HUSKER player to commit a game losing penalty to barely win the game (he graduated). I have to reiterate, a true freshman quarterback, led a quarterback dominated offense to over 600 yards...in his first collegiate game...

This year: The Huskers come off of a red hot finish to last season, coming into their own under the new staff. Martinez is picked by Vegas with the 6th highest odds to win the Heisman. Nebraska is is tied for the 12th highest odds to win the National Championship. Montez and Colorado are nowhere on these lists. Colorado has a brand new staff with some very green coaches. You guys are really underestimating the rebuilding of a new staff (trust me, we’ve been through a few!) You know Colorado lacks serious depth on both sides of the ball. Nebraska constantly out-recruits Colorado. It does not look good. It’s hard to give Colorado a chance in this one.

I actually told your fans on a different forum immediately after last year’s game in Lincoln: That was not a good looking win for you guys, we beat ourselves. I expect Colorado to fall well below expectations for their season. I honestly didn’t think it would be THAT bad. Of course I was laughed at, called a methhead, etc. You know, all the simpleton responses. But there you have it.

Rest of the country’s thoughts>>>>>>Colorado fans thoughts. I’m just letting you know why collectively, the betting public is favoring Nebraska. By even more than last year...when the Muffaloes are at home. The new staff at Colorado may be good someday, but with an overhaul like that it’s gonna take time. More than 1 game. It makes sense though. Colorado has trouble attracting a good coach with a good staff because the budget is lower, fan support is much lower, cost of living in Boulder is much higher. It’s tough for you guys.

We had no idea what exactly we were gonna see last year with Nebraska. I thought we would win the game just because I was being a homer but the circumstances were too much to overcome. This year I’m being objective. Year 2 is statistically the biggest improvement year in any new staff on average and everyone saw Frost blow that outta the water at UCF. You guys still (non objectively) call him the inferior coach. How many games has coach Tucker won as a head coach again? I remember when we hired one of the best defensive coordinators in the nation out of the SEC a few years back. He was slightly above mediocre for 7 years. I just don’t see a logical reason to favor the buffs other than just being a homer and hoping there’s magic in the air. “Of course you don’t see it, you have cow **** all over your face!!” There, now you don’t have to say it...:D
Muffaloes? Who did you have to ask to come up with that for you? Jesus...

Lol I can see we have very astute bettors to the west...Vegas is more often right about who is going to win, that’s actually WHY people lose money...because they don’t pay you to agree with them. That and of course the book’s keep. It’s sad you need that explained to you. I’m just going to let you people keep talking and digging your own grave :censored::ROFLMAO:

Certain teams move the line because of the amount of action that gets placed on them whenever they play. For instance, USC always gets shaded. With Nub hype in full swing this year it wouldn't surprise me if there's shade. That said, it would still mean that Vegas thinks it's likely that Nebraska would cover a touchdown spread in a win. And that said, college football betting is especially notorious for delivering some great early season opportunities for people who know more than the national groupthink assumptions.

Hi-****ing-larious!

Been reading too much Tom Shatel, or whomever the Omaha World Herald has as the kool-aid in word form dispenser for the fusker circle-jerk articles these days...

The Buffs do have the chips stacked against them this year, but they did last year also....and after kicking themselves in the butt after the fast start, adjustments were made. They took care of business when it mattered, despite missing some field goals and losing some key players to injury and bull**** (not to mention no game film to prepare with). At first, I thought it was pure luck and chance to drive out of Lincoln with a win, but the subsequent weeks proved me to be comically wrong. The Buffs ended up ****ting the bed, but no one is making excuses for that.

Who are you honestly trying to convince here? We’ll see you in Folsom soon enough.

Nebraska was a five point favorite IIRC last year.

How many points were you favored by against Troy last year?

Take the loss, pussy.

... ...I just don't understand why/how we finally got Neg Rep back, and our newest husker fan doesn't have about 500 Neg Reps... ...sort of disappointed.....

It’s going to be quite embarrassing for you if you guys don’t roll us. Remember what it felt like last year? Yeah, that.

Worse, though, right? I mean, the messiah became unbeatable* at the end of the season and is the hottest coach** in the game right now. If they lose two years in a row to a team they're favored against, well....

*other than Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan, and OSU, and Iowa. And CU.

**not really.

This is what gets to graduate from UNL, folks. The pride and tradition!

I mean since Mel Tucker has already proven to be a better head coach than Frost and the 53k...(maybe closer to 25-30k?) Colorado fans as that strong 12th man at Folsom. I don’t see how you guys lose. Especially if those well educated Californians in the student section start hucking their own piss (feces?) at those absolute meth fueled animals from Nebraska. Some big league game changers.
