I don’t think must nub fans even know about red stripe? If it isn’t a domestic light beer, bud heavy, or the heavily trodden import, hipster beer de jour or craft brew, they don’t touch it. Busch Light being the king because midwest.
I think reality is starting to sink in for some of them. Yesterday I was in a conference call with a guy who I believed to be a die hard fusker. At the end of the call he says “well, I guess “Go Buffs”, because I really don’t have anybody else to root for”.
I welcomed him to the Dark Side and let him know that life is far more fulfilling here. Baby steps. These are salt of the Earth simpletons and need our guidance and support while they make the difficult transition.
Hard to feel sorry for them.
