Official Buffs vs. ASU Game Thread --- 2 PM on P12N

gameday atmosphere was excellent. Again. We're back baby.

CU's Laviska Shenault has four rushing touchdowns this season. He's the first CU receiver with that many rushing touchdowns since Mike Pritchard had five in 1990. ... Shenault (51 catches) is already tied for the 17th-most catches in an season in CU history. ... Saturday's attendance (52,681) was the highest total at Folsom Field since Oct. 2, 2010, when CU sold 52,855 for a 29-27 victory against Georgia.

I have a criticism of Montez. Several times on the read option I thought if he’d done better job reading the coverage he could’ve kept the ball and gone for big gains. Instead, several times, he handed off and our RB ran right into coverage. That’s the only very slight criticism I have.

BTW, Wilkins was asked if he thought the Buffs were dirty (I’m not sure what the exact question was, this is from the KOA sideline guy) and he responded something to the effect of “No, they aren't dirty at all. They are just tough.”

Just watched a replay of Wigley’s so called PI. I think, at best, the call was ticky tack. At worst it was BS.

Just watched the replay of the targeting. From the north view, it looked like nothing. From the south it looked like helmet to helmet. By the rule, I understand why it was upheld.

But, for one, the hit was not close to as violent as it looked in the south view. And two, I’ve always believed that, by definition, the word “targeting” implies intent. And there was zero intent there.

The intent part is where the meaning of the rule has been lost. Its not that hard to tell the difference between meaningful shots to the head and incidental ones.

Neither targeting reviewed today was intentional or violent.

Props to MM during his post game on field interview, Wilkins came up and MM asked him if his leg was ok..... And props to Herm for sounding like a well thought out coach instead of that bitch Wendy Frosty.

Dude we're 5-0. I don't have time for garbage teams like Nebraska right now.

Just watched the replay of the ASU “targeting” call. If Nate’s was targeting that was. It looked even more flagrant.

And I think if it had been reviewed, KD dropped the ball. I think the call might have been overturned. It was close because his foot was down.

There was reason to be skeptical about Montez heading into this season.

There was reason to be confident about Montez heading into this season.

Let's not make this a thing.

We're all happy.

Buffnik,

You are one of the smartest guys in this forum. If it weren’t for that creepy Katy Perry Whipcream GIF. I would really think highly of you.

The holding call on Purcell after the Montez scramble for first down with about 8:45 to go was total and utter bull****.

Lol at the idea that Lewis would just illegally come flying in off the bench as the 12th man just to tackle Harry.
That would be like that old, think it was an NFL clip, where a guy did do that :ROFLMAO:. It was a black and white clip, but I know I've seen it.

Do you ever think CU commits a legitimate penalty?
Sure. But I watched that one over and over and it sure didn’t look like holding to me. Look at my post on the Landman play. I said I can see why he was ejected. It might seem like I never think we are guilty because I only complain about “bad” penalties and never support “legit” ones.

BTW, the holding call that cost us the win against the ‘Canes was total bull****!!

One of the smartest decisions made so far this season is to not have Montez run so much. It's a long season and everyone knows Montez can run so it's a great ace up the sleeve. For all of the formations Chiv has shown so far I've got a pretty good idea he has some wrinkles he's been holding back, I'm waiting for McM to pass out of the wildcat.
I noticed Bounds ran a pattern (was open) so that's encouraging.
With all of the Shenault success JMac is putting together his best season.
3rd and long doesn't seem to be quite the adventure it was last season.
Is Udoffia hurt?
Tonz has his moments, I'm starting to like that kid.
Lewis was all over the place, hard to believe he didn't record more tackles.
Elliot's adjustments = 3 wins so far.
Brown & Nixon continue to impress
