I wasn't paying attention this summer. If we lost 20 players to the transfer portal then how could anyone (CU Atletic Director and Chancellor included) expect us to have a competitive season.
Losing 20 players is WORSE than what happened at PSU when their coach buttf*%ked children in the showers. We COULDN'T be competitive after that. How did t=the AD and Chancellor not fix the situation this summer? If 20 players leave, then you have a real coaching problem.
This should have been addressed right after the transfer portal closed back in May.

Karl said he learned from it and now plans to individually meet with players at the end of the season instead of leaving town to recruit until Winter break.

If HCKD is still around to have the opportunity to not make the same mistake it’d be a massive fail on the ADs part
IIRC the number was 23. Of those 23 a total of 6 ended up at BCS level schools.
That though included some players who are currently starting at Oregon and USC.
KD didn't have enough relationship with his players to be able to keep guys who were already here with the program.

I was thinking the same thing, which is hard to fathom ... that wasn't our rock bottom.
Addition by subtraction works when you have a player that has a bad attitude that is detrimental to the team. Having 23 players means that their bad attitude was right- they though Stoneface sucked. That wasn't a bad attitude that they had... they were just CORRECT.
What we had was subtraction by subtraction.
