Official CU vs Delaware Game Thread

Prime should not have brought in Salter, it shocked the system too much and Shurmur already sucked so bad that now we have no clue what to do.

Juju, Staub, and Ponder was enough

Wow, this is painful

He’s focusing on QB as the issue when the real issue is OC. Prime is blind on this matter.
I worry that being Prime's QB immediately following Shedeur is kind of analogous to taking over as the Bama HC following Saban.

Any thing short of perfection will be see as inadequate.

This offense can and should be very good, and it feels like Shurmur spent the entire spring and summer doing nothing, literally no coaching. We looked more prepared against TCU in the first game in 2023 than we do now. It is not only Playcalling, but also just core preparations.
Prime is spinning without Shedeur, not because of a talented QB, but because he has to manage something he has never managed

Good for Staub. But he has two throws that are guaranteed picks against Big 12 competition.

Instead of calling out his OC, prime insinuates he thinks the QBs are at fault. Juju and Salter can’t do much when their only options are bubble or alert screen or run. ****ing Shurmer is so bad
This also shows large cracks in CP. Last week he doubled down on his poor clock management. He has retained Hart and dares anyone to call Hart out for the incompetent coach he is. Now he is throwing his players under the bus for Shurmur, who everyone around the country understands is a horrible play caller. Always has been. This is a program in desperation mode a game and a half into the season against mid and low level competition.
RG wanted CP. CP did an amazing job to turn the program around. But it won't go any further with Hart and Shurmur coaching and it damn sure doesn't look good when your head coach cannot see the issues in front of him, so he blames players.

OC did the team no favors. Juju looked 17 and rattled. I'll forgive him this cause he should be in high school but early returns are poor.

No. The Salter camp believes he has a shot to to make the NFL as a Jackson-lite mid round pick if he proves he can throw.
Salter has missed more throws in 1.25 games than Shedeur did in 2 years. Laughable.
By the way, I told y’all:

Get to know The Track Hawk
Yea I'm glad I was on this bandwagon early.

Kicked my kids out of the game. They liked the beginning but were completely whiny and ready to go home by end of first quarter (like our team).. They were toast. Lovely wife taking them home. They walked out just as staub hit that deep throw. Hope they removed the bad juju

I think you have to play Staub in the second half. Will Shurmur continue to let him throw the ball down field?
After watching the first half, I’m convinced it’s Salter that’s the problem. He can’t throw the ball. They opened it up for JuJu but there was a bad drop (it was slightly high) that ended the drive, but he is still so much better than Salter.

Lets not forget that Staub has started a game as a freshman in 2024 and did respectable. We lost that game, It was the last game of the season on a 4-8 team that had lots of problems and a horrible offensive line.

This is his 3rd year at this level and should be much more adjusted to the speed at this level than a true frosh. And salter ain't it. So let him play, and if he doesnt shine you can always put juju back in there.

Livingston needs to get out of man. Mancoochie's accuracy < Salter. Silver is gashing us on motion and shovel passes. Those plays kill man D.

Personally, I’d put Salter in for a couple of series and if he gets points and Buffs are significantly up on the scoreboard, then go back to Juju and get he some real reps.
We're somehow losing sight that on Salter's two drives there were 9 first downs, 130 yards, 10:05 time of possession and 10 points. That's, objectively, a great outcome that will win games.

Salt deserves to start the second half. Another couple methodical drives, and you have to think he's the dude.
