This is a ****ing mess.

Staub played with moxie, brought a spark, made good decisions, and hit some wide open dudes against some inferior competition.

JuJu barely got a taste looked ok, but also looked 17 years old.

Salter started out steady, but unspectacular, finished sloppy after sitting for 2 hours.

Love how Staub played today, but I'm not feeling like he's going to light up Houston next week.

Idk if it’s Salter himself, or if the offensive design doesn’t work for Salter, but clearly our best chance to win going forward does not include a heavy dose of Kaidon Salter.
Ya it's genuinely hard to tell if Salter is terrible or if Shurmur is just a terrible OC who isn't capable of calling plays for a run first QB. Salter was actually good at Liberty so I'm leaning towards the latter. But it doesn't really matter which one it is when the end result is bad.

Shurmur should get fired just for how he handled this whole situation
His preparation of these QB's was terrible and his offense is so bad
Honestly Shurmur should've been fired after last season, the offense was fine but I'd argue it WAY underperformed relative to the talent level. Shedeur+Hunter+multiple WRs drafted/signed by NFL teams should've resulted in a much better offense.

Salter against Delaware no less should look good but still has poor decisions. Running game looks solid. Staub balled out.

Houston next week hopefully will be juju heavy.

You do have to ask - WTF happened there? Who is coaching these guys?
He was always a weak OC and playcaller, and the likelihood that at this later age, he cannot manage 3-5 young QB's and prepare them to play. I was never a fan of getting Salter because of what type of QB Juju was.
Shurmur is the weakest link for sure right now, so not sure how we get out of this alive
