Ya it's genuinely hard to tell if Salter is terrible or if Shurmur is just a terrible OC who isn't capable of calling plays for a run first QB. Salter was actually good at Liberty so I'm leaning towards the latter. But it doesn't really matter which one it is when the end result is bad.
In order to have the best chance to beat Houston, YESIs Ryan Staub our best QB?
I don't think there will be very many more of "these type of games".Salter is terrible, and there is nothing to gain by playing him any further this season. Also, giving JuJu two series doesn’t help anything. Let the kid play after Staub in these type of games.
Just in terms of passing…maybeIs Ryan Staub our best QB?
This came from an in game discussion. If this is true - then why not just start the season with JuJu?
Which is exactly why he should have gotten a ton of run.I don't think there will be very many more of "these type of games".
Beat the spread I guess.
He benefited from having a very talented team around him in ‘23Salter made his money in 2023 - 61% completions, 2,800 yards passing, 40 TDs, 1000 yards rushing, 12 TDs. But in 2024 - he was pretty average. 56% passing, 1,800 yards, only 15 TDs. 600 rushing yards, 7 TDs.
They do t try at him over 15. Confirmed.Wow. Salter just might not be it. And I was a big Salter guy coming into the season. But he’s just not taking any shots downfield. Yikes.
We can do time management, right?Game isn't over yet.
That's a mentality they don't have yet. They’re pretty good at pass blocking imo, not very good at run blocking
I don't see that as a bad thing tho, they know they could've played better and I'm glad they're not satisfied with that. That is the emotionally saddest looking team winning by 24 ever
I only hope that everyone knew this was the plan from the start.I’m baffled by the coaching decisions today
