Official CU vs TCU Game Thread - 10/4 @ 5:30 MT on FOX

I'm gonna guess that we've been scripting the hell out of the first two drives but then we get past that. And that means that Shurmur has to find a play calling rhythm and Salter has to execute plays he has to think too much about.
Would totally agree, it's too complicated for Salter. He is continually getting the snap off late. Everyone is out of their element and not in sync.

Let’s hope so as this is a heavily Sr team on the lines and the two best DBs will possibly be gone as well… even though McKinney has definitely played himself to the bottom of draft boards. I guess the way to look at it is the QB play, DB play, and LB play hopefully can’t get any worse next year.

I don’t know what you Prime haters want. Without Prime we may have been left in the PAC-12 dust. CU doesn’t have enough financial support to be an Oregon, an Alabama, a Texas. You fire Prime, and with it goes Juju and the WR talent, and the Texas pipeline, and the IMG pipeline, and all the talent we do have, and all of a sudden this is a 63-10 blowout.
This is a ridiculous logical fallacy. You're 2-4, staring at 2-6. Nobody is making the argument that CU football should be a top 5 program in the nation.

Salter has cost us at least 2 games.
Prime more.

Hmm, I’m not so sure. WV is on the road and by that time we’ll have likely lost 5 in a row. I wonder how much fight we’ll have at that point. KSU at home is the only one I feel even mildly optimistic about. These coaches are trash.
We’re at KSU - that’s a loss

I will say this, when TCU sold out to stop the run he continued to try running into a stacked line. When TCU did that, there had to have been room to throw.
But then you'd have to expect Salter to be accurate. He's just not an accurate passer.

No we are asking for competency. Just a hint. If they went 6-6 but looked like they knew what they were doing, I would feel positive.

Just finished 1st half. Salter has know idea what’s going on out there. I’ve said this before. You have to help him out. 8 seconds left and you call a pass play and it’s completely obvious he couldn’t read the defense. Had a timeout in the Bag. Just a terrible decision to repeat that play call from earlier. I almost wonder if we would be more successful taking a Navy approach and almost never passing. I just can’t believe we let some of our stud D starters go to bring this guy in at QB. Just terrible evaluation on our part. Juju countdown is on. We should see some more out of him the final 3 weeks.

What’s your point? People are calling for Prime’s head. My post was a reminder that the program is in way better shape today than before we hired him.
Financially, yes. Better run as a program (recruiting, NIL, administratively), absolutely. But, if a team as big and as talented as this wins 2 games vs Kardboards 1 win with a tiny, terrible roster, what does that say about CP's coaching.
He was able to do a lot to build a program. His ability to coach at this level, make smart in game decisions and hold his coaching staff accountable are in question, and that is fair. He appears to have hit his ceiling. RG might be able to have Prime run recruiting, NIL and program structure for the AD office with some bloated title (if he was interested) and go get a head coach who can coach (see Indiana, Vanderbilt and others who have turned it around in 2-3 years) and let that head coach resume the assent to the top 10 year in and year out. Coach Mac did it, it is being done elsewhere, just need a coach who can take it from here.
If Prime really feels his clots are back, he may step away to recover, so there should be an interim and long term plan.
