Lol right? The truth hurts sometimes. Maybe CU knew this all along so they stopped recruiting in Cali.At least CU would maintain its general level of success in the division

I lost interest in the P12 after the newness wore off, watching the P12 Network is like a box of cracker jacks without the prize.I miss that feeling of awesomeness after a win over ****braska. I have had about 5% of that feeling when CU beats either AZ school or Utah. Other P12 schools...not so much. Even if the Pac-12 survives as the Pac-14 or Pac-16 and CU is still part of that conference with no real rival, the appeal of being a Buff football fan will continue fading away. Family is full of OU fans and watching the Sooners in the SEC is very intriguing to me so I most likely would just head that way for my football fix. I have zero interest in PAC football and that interest in CU football is on its very last threads. I will still follow & root for CU MBB though.
College football very well could end up being like NASCAR which is a very regional sport instead of a national sport. It will be popular east of the Rockies and perhaps soccer will take its place out west. I have been saying for years that CU needs to add men's lacrosse to fill a gap in spring male team sports for CU but I think it might be time to start talking about men's soccer which is a fall sport while women's soccer is a spring sport. Just do some work at Folsom Field to widen the field for soccer & lacrosse and be done with it.
That article paints a bleak picture for the B12, and it does not look very good for the P12 either.College football realignment fallout: What's next with Texas, Oklahoma stating intent to leave Big 12 for SEC
Look for the Big Ten to make some moves -- quickly -- and TV networks to have their saywww.cbssports.com
Dennis Dodd mentions that USC, ASU, CU, and UW could go to the B1G.
When 90% are watching a dog**** team vs a regular bowl team, yes. And not counting the CU/CSU game in those stats…yes, even more.
CU’s attendance numbers are bolstered by dirt cheap student tickets and anybody who has been to a home game lately will tell you that that stadium is not 90% full and certainly not for anywhere near 4 quarters. I just don’t think CU is in any position to be bagging on the passion of other school’s fan bases. No, but the point is, if fan attendance and following is part of the conversation, it’s notable that they are about equal while they have both been on the opposite ends of the success spectrum. Of course, the entire idea is that more money, resources and prestige would help CU get back to more consistent success

The football after dark concept is a total dud.
Sponsors of the P12...honestly I only recognize one (Pacific Life).
Best guess had CU stayed in the B12 we would've had a greater opportunity to go bowling 2-4 more times since joining the P12.
Under the file of never would believed possible, ISU coming to Boulder and the BUFFS an under dog.
There are already scheduled SEC games on ESPN+ (mostly against FCS competition) this fall. Once CBS goes bye bye in 2024, there's a good chance that SEC games will be on ESPN+. Also have Paramount+ to boot for those CBS games.
Good try.

Have you ever been to a Stanford game? It’s a ghost town. They struggled to fill their stadium when they were a ton 10 team every year.CU’s attendance numbers are bolstered by dirt cheap student tickets and anybody who has been to a home game lately will tell you that that stadium is not 90% full and certainly not for anywhere near 4 quarters. Stanford draws a lot better than Northwestern and they’ve been really good (for them) so maybe it’s not all that important anyway.
Joining this new BIG conference would be the best thing for all sports at CUThis whole realignment thing could be a major tipping point for CU football and the CU administration could be making a decision between football and the non-football sports.

That article gave me heartburnStaples out with a speculative story already about a B1G raid of the top of the P12. He has the 4 Cali schools and UW / Oregon as the takes. Just like last time I think CU may have incentive to be a first mover to avoid a political squeeze out from the Cali schools, even if that means we jump and the rest of the P12 ultimately sticks it out. No idea if the B1G would be willing to do that though if they have bigger fish on the line.

I’m not arguing Stanford has a loyal, rabid fan base - I’m saying CU is hardly any better.Have you ever been to a Stanford game? It’s a ghost town. They struggled to fill their stadium when they were a ton 10 team every year.
^^^^and here we go "nobody gives a s**t" and maybe somebody should've before now however that would've required vision and foresight. My point is that nobody gives a **** about what service you’re currently subscribing to and what you intend to watch.
Cu is wayyyyyyy betterI’m not arguing Stanford has a loyal, rabid fan base - I’m saying CU is hardly any better.
this. the percent of the population that gets recruiting is mostly irrelevant. the raw numbers are what's important. You're committing a fundamental statistical error here. % /= total numbers. (Hint: DC is not the 4th best recruiting ground in the country, and any metric that implies that is questionable at best.)
Florida is the big one no matter how you slice it up - a high percentage of a big number. But a small percentage of a big number is going to generally be better than a higher percentage of a smaller number. 3.5% of CA and 2.7% of TX = a **** ton more recruits than 7.2% of DC.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you kind of suck today. And saying CU's fanbase is only a little better than Stanford's is just a stupid take.
holy hell! what time in the game was pic #1 taken? that's a **** ton of empty seats.
It’s much better how? The biggest matchup this program had seen at Folsom in years, with a hated rival, on a perfect day, a new, exciting HC and our season ticket holders decided they’d rather make a few bucks and watch the game at home. If that doesn’t speak directly to fan passion (or lack thereof) then I don’t know what does.Don't take this the wrong way, but you kind of suck today. I was at the game, and it absolutely was half the stadium. The tailgating around campus was even worse - a stranger wouldn’t believe you were in Boulder. That CU/NU game had a lot of ****braska fans at it, but it’s not like they completely took over the place. The red polyester sticks out and makes it look a lot worse than it was. Not saying they didn’t have a very large contingent there, but it wasn’t half the stadium. It wasn’t even a third of the stadium. And by the end of the game, what was left of the fans they had was absolutely glorious.
and I am left to wonder how comparing that game to anything Stanford does is in the least bit relevant to anything.
I never said that CU would be a good add to the Big 10, just that Stanford has a terrible fanbase and plays in what is widely regarded as the worst home football environment in the entire country. They also have bad tv ratings because they don’t have a large alumni base and the alums they do have don’t care about sports. They do however reside in a big market and good recruiting grounds and have a **** load of money with good facilities. It’s much better how? Not trying to be a dick, I’m trying to look at reality and understand on what measure is CU a more attractive add to the BIG than Stanford? I think some of you have a rosier view of dear old CU than the rest of the world (understandably).
