Official RPI Watch 2014-15

Wednesday:

Oregon (14-6, 4-3) @ #6 Arizona (18-2, 6-1)

Stanford (14-5, 5-2) @ Washington (14-5, 3-4)

Oregon State (14-5, 5-2) @ Arizona State (10-10, 2-5)

Air Force (8-11, 1-7) @ San Jose State (2-17, 0-7)

Drexel (5-14, 3-5) vs Northeastern (14-7, 6-2)

Good chance Oregon and Washington lose, thus keeping them right near us. An Oregon State loss at Arizona State would help bring the final bye into a toss-up.

And AFA better not be the first D1 team to lose to SJSU. Seems like something AFA would do

Oregon State is getting smoked in Tempe. 40-23. This will bring even more chaos to the Pac logjam if it holds.

Excellent win for Drexel over Northeastern (whose RPI is 86)

What up CVille? Still at this? What are my Bears at these days? When do we play each other?

Such a frustrating season, but I'm not going anywhere.

As bad as injuries have hit us, we've at least got half a pulse at home...and at least we're middle of the Pac, unlike football. What the hell happened to your guys? Expected Cal to be in transition, but did not see this train wreck coming. Losing at home to ASU by 35? Really?

We'll be seeing you in Boulder on Feb. 12. That's it for this season unless we meet in Vegas.

****ty year for the Pac -- 3 Dance bids tops unless there's magic in the conference tournament.

Washington is complete mess without Upshaw. Perhaps they'll find their footing a bit after a few games, but they are VERY beatable in Seattle for now. Stanford is destroying them up there, whereas they went to OT in Palo Alto.

Stanford shooting over 50% against them. Losing Upshaw completely changed their team.

And on the flip side UW shot well above their average (one make shy of 50%) and crashed the boards as well as they possibly could (just 1 less than Furd). That doesn't bode well except for Furd being the #3 team in the Pac

Buffs are favored by 2.5 tonight. Get the job done boys.

RPI has slid to 99th :wow: Want to raise RPI quickly? Win road games.

SOS is good enough to offset the 10-9 record and keep the Buffs in position to pass a lot of teams if we can get some wins. Running out of time, though.

Guess what? Road wins do a ton for RPI, even when you beat bad teams.

CU RPI was 99 earlier today. It's now 82.

Have to figure Oregon State is going to get drilled in Tucson tonight, thus dropping them to 5-4 and opening up the path to 4th for whoever chooses to seize it between CU, UCLA and Oregon.

Oregon at ASU is a big one tonight. An ASU win would would be better for RPI and would put both Oregon and ASU at 4-5. That's the best option in my eyes since ASU is not good and we're going to finish ahead of them (Oregon is the bigger threat).

holy crap. top 4 finish is still well within reach with our two toughest games already over. The loss to ASU and the buzzer beater loss to UW counteracts that some though.

Those losses were brutal.

Those are unfortunate ones we can never get back, but should have had. We'd be 6-2 in conf right now with those.....

Oregon State got rocked in Tucson, so Beavs fall to 5-4 and into a tie with Oregon (and whoever wins between CU/UCLA tomorrow)

How I look at it is we could've just as easily lost to UCLA and USC.

4-4 feels about right with the way we've been playing.

Today's games we care about (Sat, Jan 31):

Auburn @ Tennessee (ESPN2, now) - Bruch Pearl returns to Knoxville. Can help the Buffs a lot with a win.

Lipscomb @ Stetson (ESPN3, 11am) - Lipscomb can even its record at 11-11 and notch a road win against a bad Stetson squad.

DePaul vs Villanova (FS1, 12pm) - looks like a no-hoper to me, so DePaul is probably dangerous in this one.

Georgia @ S Carolina (ESPNU, 2pm) - great opportunity to notch a conference road win. Cocks aren't an easy out.

Drexel vs UNC-Wilmington (no tv, 2pm) - UNCW is among the CAA best, but Drexel is a slight home favorite. Would be a big win.

George Washington @ Rhode Island (no tv, 2pm) - winner probably decides who challenges Davidson for 2nd in A10 behind VCU.

Wyoming vs Nevada (no tv, 4pm) - Pokes have got to take care of business at home against the Pack. They should.

CSU vs Fresno State (CBSS, 4pm) - Rams should roll at home against one of the weaker MWC squads.

Hawai'i @ Long Beach State (ESPN3, 5pm) - Very tough game for the Bows. Season changer if they can get the win.

San Francisco @ San Diego (no tv, 6pm) - Dons are slight dogs. This is the type of road win they've got to get if they want to turn it around.

Stanford @ Washington State (PACN, 6:30pm) - Cougs could help the Buffs in the standings and RPI with the upset.

N Colorado vs Weber State (no tv, 7pm) - Bears need this to get to 11-9 (5-3).

Air Force @ UNLV (ESPN3, 8pm) - Zoomies may be dogs, but that dog could find a bone against a struggling Rebels squad.

COLORADO @ UCLA (PACN, 8:30PM) - Winner grabs 4th place in the Pac-12 and creeps closer to the bubble. Buffs enter at #87, Bruins at #68.

Auburn falls at Tennessee. Missed opportunity. Now 10-11 (2-6) with a tough slate through the end of the SEC season. 2-8 the rest of the way wouldn't be a surprise.

Drexel wins. They're actually figuring things out and winning games lately. Now 5-5 in CAA.

Georgia got destroyed in Columbia against a bad South Carolina side. Pathetic. Horrible loss for Georgia's Dance hopes, Dawgs fall to 14-6 (5-3). SEC is complete crap. It'd be a crime if Kentucky didn't go undefeated in that joke of a league.

George Washington fell at Rhode Island in a key A10 game. Colonials are slowly playing themselves to the heart of bubble-land. Now 16-6 (6-3)

Cougs up 42-41 on Furd at the half.

Stanford is way overdue for a "Dawkins", but we'll see if Wazzu can keep the track meet going and prevail. They have done it to Oregon and @ Washington
