Other Games 10/2 - 10/4

Rece Davis using the same car accident analogy for the Clemson-UNC game as I did in my post. Maybe he reads Allbuffs??

(Ok probably not)
Clemson has run 3 offensive plays and is up 14-3 with the ball. You can hear a pin drop in that stadium. This is likely to be an ugly game and I'm here for the train wreck!
I'd have to say that the "Belichick Experiment" is likely to last only a year ... if that. And just further reinforces the notion that all those Super Bowl rings were much more attributable to Tom Brady than the coach.

Loving these long BIG road trips. No way this can be sustainable for all sports? The travel cost have to be outrageous to go along with all the travel time and ass' in seats.

I don't think the BIG as currently constructed will survive. They were obviously too preoccupied with destroying the Pac 12 (and the 4 that jumped were too worried about being left behind) to consider the circumstances. I think that is the one thing that CU has going for it - being where we is a great jumping off spot for west coast and midwestern teams. Having a team (or multiple teams) between Nebraska and the West Coast is logical.

As long as we dont wind up in another west coast centric league that doesn't give a **** about athletics, so do I.

I don't think there's a way that CU is elevated to a top tier in football and not be lumped in with the West Coast teams. The numbers don't work any other way. You have 10 programs total at the BIG level (11, if they drop any biases against BYU) west of Nebraska.

If we were in any sort of 36/48 team superconference, we'd be playing most of our games in/against teams in the former Pac 12 footprint.

I think the honeymoon "might" be over.

Problem for UNC is that the buyout is the unpaid remaining amount from the first 3 years of his deal, at this point slightly under $20 million.

If things get ugly enough they might be able to get him to negotiate a lower amount but he has them over the barrel right now.
Pretty sure the plan is/was for him to be the coach for this year and then turn it over to his son next year. Can’t imagine their AD/Pres/fanbase are too pumped about that idea now.
