Other Games 10/24-10/26

I think the Dolphins are going to get someone killed if they take a QB #1 this year. I'm not a fan of taking the QB when you have no one around him who is any good.
I agree to a point. Having nobody around Luck in Indy essentially forced him into early retirement. Had Ballard been there from the beginning, though, I am confident, he wouldn’t have neglected the OL like that.

Basically, it doesn’t have to be QB or everything else, especially when you have the kind of draft capital and cap space the dolphins do. They can definitely draft their QB at 1 and then spend the other 4 premium picks on building an elite young core, along with go into Free Agency.

Watching all the games in B1G land today makes me glad I don't live in the midwest. That combination of cold rain and soggy snow looks miserable. The only way it would be worse is if they had high wind on top of it.

Clemson up 17-0 after 1 quarter. Drop them in the polls!
They’ll stay where they are, but do you really think they deserve to be ranked higher than LSU, Ohio State, or Alabama? At some point you have to play somebody or at least dominate the mediocre/trash on the schedule. They slipped up vs UNC and it cost them, as it should when margins are so thin.

Inevitably all top-tier teams have a close call at some point against a mediocre opponent but to your point OSU, Bama and LSU haven't had that as of yet. I just think they're being penalized a bit much for the UNC game but given what the other 3 have done I guess it's hard to put Clemson above any of them, plus LSU and OSU have impressive wins on the their resume. OK disregard my comment, in the end it won't matter if Clemson wins out.

Love the scoreboard but this Michigan- ND game is turning into a snooze fest. Big excitement at this point is when either offense manages to make a first down.

Mostly a punting contest.

So Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Auburn are all pretty much eliminated at this point from even consideration. Penn State and OSU is going to be a hell of a game in a few weeks.

Oklahoma did themselves no favors. As long as we don’t step on our dicks (Oregon/Utah) I imagine 5-10 will be:

PSU, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma, Utah.

for all the flack the Pac 12 gets we could have 2 top 10 teams this week.

I'd say any discussion about ND being a CFB playoff contender is pretty much moot now ... UM up 38-7.

And the good thing is that Michigan will have scoreboard on the ****ing Irish for at least the next 13 years ... unless they get matched up in a bowl game. :p
