Other games 10/31 - 11/2

I disagree. It has less importance, but strength of schedule always matters when evaluating teams.

Not for mediocre teams.

"That 6-6 team is overrated!" seems like a silly argument to engage.

.No one cares to look beyond final record for many teams.

This loss and the way it happened I think is really bad for Frost. There's absolutely no reason to not take a time out there.

This loss and the way it happened I think is really bad for Frost. There's absolutely no reason to not take a time out there. Star receiver was begging to get in the game. I'm sure he probably wasn't supposed to be in but it's not good optics. And Martinez is like a ****y. Tebow he can run but that's all he's truly great at. He's a very below average Quarterback. I'd have Montez over him any day.
Yep, I'm sure there are some disgruntled kids in that locker room. I know the players are still mostly Riley's, but he's just not a very good coach.

Nubb is 4-5 with three games left. Let's see how the remaining schedule stacks up:

Wiscy at home ... loss. Playing in Lincoln ain't the advantage it used to be.
@ Maryland ... the Terps suck, but given Frosty's road record (1-8) even this is not a gimmee.
Iowa at home ... see Wiscy above.

Guess what f uskers ....

NO BOWL FOR YOU!!

Purdue coaching staff doing some work in the midst of a lost season.
Good point.

Purdue is not an easy place to build a program.

They look like they have a coach though who may be able to pull it off. This kind of win late in the season can go a long way. It makes it much easier to keep the kids in the program focused and believing. It also sends a well timed message to recruits.

For Frosty and the fuskers this is a disaster, and how they lost it after a solid start has to get even more of the players questioning his message. They have already shown signs of a team that is willing to quit.

It also has to be making recruits question what Frosty is selling. It seems when a new coach takes over a struggling program he gets a window in which he can sell the idea of a new beginning, a new era. Once he gets a couple years in recruits start asking why they aren't seeing it on the field. What the Nebraska recruits are seeing can't be giving them confidence in the future of that program.

Are the goats gonna backdoor a bowl game??
They already want to fire Bobo and AD Joe Parker but don't have the money. Finishing strong but coming up one game short of a bowl would be the perfect defensible failure. Leave the fans feeling like the season is a failure and lacking hope for the future but not bad enough to move closer to firing anyone.

Are we sure Eason is guaranteed to leave early?
I think most people would say he should stay, but during that Oregon game, they sure made it seem like his mentality was NFL all the way. This is a strong QB class though. Don’t think he’d be a 1st rounder and possibly not even a 2nd.

Meanwhile Utah laying an egg is not good for the PAC.

We have a number of good teams but we need two highly ranked teams in the CCG

Walterfootball has him going 9 to the Bucs right now. If one of these QBs falls in the draft, Jake Fromm seems most likely to do so.,

He will be a late 1st rounder, but could be top five in 2021. Upside is huge, experience is the drawback.

Which was the point of my question. Sounds like you are assuming Bama loses to LSU at home. That’s like betting against the Patriots in January in Foxboro.

Disagree again. I think this LSU team is as good as they've had in who knows how long. That offense is tremendous, and they showed they can win a grind it out game last week against Auburn. Tua's ankle is a huge question for me too. I'm betting on LSU next week.

Tua will be just fine.

I expect him to play lol. I'm not sure if he'll be 100%.

We’ll see! Former Alabama players talked about how quickly recovery is in an SI article. I just wouldn’t bet against Alabama over that but that’s just me.

Not buying it. This tightrope was not as complicated as last time, but he has less time to recovery. It affected him last year. I think he plays. I don’t expect full Tua.

Good point, but I still expect him to show up and play well.
