Other games 11/28 - 11/30

Yes. But as much as I agree with "if you don't want it to happen, don't lose" I can tell you that I would have tried to stop a rival from planting their flag on my field. I also believe most coaches I played for would have been more upset if I stood there and allowed it than if I'd gotten into a fight preventing it. This won't get solved by allowing teams to police themselves.
Oh I’m not expecting teams to police themselves. I fully expect it will cause a scuffle every time. But unless we see someone get seriously hurt, I’m not too concerned. The guys fighting in question are wearing pads and a helmet. The most likely to get hurt are those dumb enough to punch a guy wearing a helmet and break their own hand. If you hurt yourself that way, I don’t feel sympathy lol

Scuffles are good for the sport. Shows these kids still care.

Just have to make sure all out brawls don't ensue and guys don't get hurt in said scuffles.
Got no issue with it either. Michigan wouldn’t sit idly by if Ohio State did it at the Big House.

I do, however, think flag planting is provocation for the sake of provocation.

They did sit idly by when Ewers planted the Longhorn flag at midfield after they won convincingly in Ann Arbor early this season. Don't want an opponent to do it, beat them on the field of play.

Texas isn’t Ohio State for Michigan. Just like OU isn’t Michigan for Ohio State.

Gotta love that Kyle McCord, who tOSU kicked to the curb after losing to Michigan last year, has done pretty well leading Syracuse to a successful season, including beating Miami on Saturday.

When asked at the post game presser what he thought about the Suckeyes scoring all of 10 points in the loss to their rival ... he smiled and said "What goes around comes around." 😁

I also think that the context of this OSU/UM game in particular played a role here. OSU’s senior class is leaving without a win against UM. That’s gonna sting for them especially when I heard that some guys decided to come back and not go pro also because they thought they had a score to settle with Michigan. And now they’re gonna have to live with that for the rest of their lives. I can understand that some of them may have lost their heads when they saw UM doing something which I think is provocation for the sake of provocation and nothing else.

In watching the highlights of the Michigan-tOSU game, I noticed Jack Sawyer didn't get called for unsportsmanlike for ripping off his helmet in the field of play after his interception on the goal-line ... pretty flagrantly. Why is that, I wonder? Didn't Shedeur or one of the Buffs get called for that this season?

I know having the Army/Navy game as the last game of the season used to be a thing, but the NCAA needs to end it ASAP. The logistics of it no longer work with both being in the same conference, the possibility of one winning the conference and getting a CFP spot, the fact that if one or both could play in the conference championship game the week before, and on and on. There's a scenario where they played each other last week and then again today. WTAF? Also, you can see Navy is much fresher given they got 15 days to get healthy and prepare. Army looks banged up and tired and rightly so, given they had to go all out to win a championship a week ago.

Time to move this game into the regular schedule. It's not 1958 anymore.

Just make it a Thanksgiving Day game.

Or simply acknowledge that the odds of making the playoffs are slim and winning it isn't going to happen.

Keep the tradition and bypass the idea of the playoff.
Then they shouldn't be in a conference if the results of their game aren't going to count towards which teams make the conference championship

Don't disagree with that, or put all three academics in a conference that doesn't do a CCG and doesn't hold illusions of the playoffs.

With all the changes in college football and conference affiliations there will likely soon be some other schools formerly part of major conferences that will be looking for a home that doesn't require the kind of financial (and other) support that the top conferences are going to.

Today was so lonely without college football.

I’ve been waiting in line for 20 minutes for Rebecca to get a $0.69 Pepsi at Costco.
So she insist on 99% turkey, the more expensive grocery for fruits and veggies, then drinks Pepsi, okay.
