Other Games 8/28-9/1

I'm not really a U guy, but I hope they kick Notre Dame's ass like they stole something. I hate two teams more than others, Notre Dame and Nebraska, Kansas State is close though. Oops, forgot Texas.

Catholics vs convicts
I'm definitely rooting for the "convicts" ... but then I root for whoever is playing the "Irish."

And of course the convict label AFAIK is no longer applicable. But that slogan did epitomize the bitterness of that quasi-rivalry back in the late 80s.

I have always liked Notre Dame.

**** ND. They've been cheating the system for decades. Join a conference or GTFO. Every go 'round up till now they write a special little provision just for them. Remember when the BCS had the rule that ND was in if they won 10 games. That's it. Automatic BCS bowl bid if you win 10 games. Just for them. **** em.

Defenses seem more ahead of the offenses more than usual to open the season.

Even in the instances where both teams had returning starters (LSU-Clemson, VT-SCarolina) we had relatively low scoring games. ISU-KSU was a typical scoring game but that one was also pretty sloppy. One of the few exceptions was Cuse-Tennessee with neither team returning a starting QB. Speaking of which, Tennessee seems to be just fine post-Nico. UCLA on the other hand, LOL

The thing about LSU is they return absolutely nobody in the receiving dept. Daniels who just made that phenomenal catch came from LSU but was just ok there. The freshman Toney appears to be a future star.
