Iowa is destroying Michigan State.
I know I'm seeing them at their best, but even discounting that, Iowa looks like the worst possible tourney matchup for our Buffs: tons of size/rebounding, 3 point shooters all over the place, and a guy in Garza who can carry their offense when nothing's working.
Impressive team.
I won't be picking Iowa to win it. I'm saying I don't want to see them in CU's bracket. Bad matchup for us.I saw part of the Iowa / northwestern game. The 'eyes struggled in the 1st half and early 2nd before pulling away. I think the cats just didn't have the depth and bench to pull it off.
But that makes me wary of Iowa in a tourney setting where they might meet a team that can sustain.

I don't like their size. Rebounding & our ability to finish in the paint. I'll very happily take a shooting team if they're one dimensional.Counterpoint: We just have to stop them 10% of the time. Because with Iowa’s D, we’re scoring every time down the court.
Michigan State, Kentucky, Duke all going to be watching the tourney from home this year. Wild.Iowa is destroying Michigan State.

I feel like we do worse against teams that muck up the game with some talent Arizona’s, Utah’s, Tennessee etc not hyper efficient offensive teams. I’d be a lot more nervous to face a Virginia, Rutgers type team.I won't be picking Iowa to win it. I'm saying I don't want to see them in CU's bracket. Bad matchup for us.
Not in any way excusing CU for flat performances, but this season is all about internal motivation. Without the crowd energy, it's tough to get the adrenaline going the same way as a player. Seeing that wide swings in performance is a common theme of this college basketball season -- along with older, more mature teams generally doing well while more-talented but young teams have often struggled to find their way.Two quality mid majors..#22 Loyola Chicago vs Drake, previously ranked. So Loyola beat Drake by 27 yesterday, then lost to them by 1 in OT today. Weird back to back games but also the unusual turnaround in score differentials. A lot of variables..off shooting night vs hot shooting, lack of focus, effort, momentum, psychology etc. Probably applies to our game vs Cal but still frustrating.
Illinois has the best player in the country and a damn good center.Well, Illinois is a dangerous team, they gave Minnesota an ass whipping yesterday. B1G has some squads.
USC so they don't have a chip on their shoulder in their next game against CU.Who to root against...USC or Oregon? I'm thinking I'd rather have USC win since they then won't have lost 2 games in a row and then our win against them would look better than if they lose to Oregon.
Just when you think you have things figured out, Michigan gets whooped by a team missing the best player in the country.Illinois playing w/o Ayo and creaming Michigan. So many inexplicable outcomes this season.
Hopefully we get GA Tech in the 1st round. Be nice to get a head start on beating Zona's next coach.Duke going to lose. Moses Wright for GT is really good.
