Other Games Week of 9/10-9/11

The Pac-12 needs him gone.

Here's hoping USC loses to Furd, Domers & UCLA this year while we have Oregon & UCLA both in the top 5 at the end playing in the P12C for a playoff birth.

That result would both raise P12 perception and cause USC boosters to force major change to become elite again.
Nooooooo!

Not tonight, but after an 8-4/7-5 season?

Conventional wisdom says he'd be gone. But things aren't conventional at SC right now. His M.O. has been do just enough to keep his job, and he'll probably to that again this year. 8-4 would probably do it, unless those remaining losses include ND and UCLA. That's a tough sell. Their talent is too good to lose 5. That's how he's kept his job. They win games on talent alone.

If the ASU OC forces Daniels to stay in the pocket and not run v UNLV, they lose. That makes me jealous and pisses me off.

USC went 8-5 in 2019, got absolutely abused by Iowa in the Holiday Bowl IIRC, and Clay Helton survived that. That should tell you a lot.
Can’t be true. We were all told Pac-12 is better than the Big XII + new additions.
But Arizona State is such a powerhouse (according to some on here-I mean they do have recruiter extraordinare Antonio Pierce)......Oh, yeah-we're 3-1 against them going back to 2016. Arizona's in the conversation for worst team in the Power 5-it wouldn't shock me at all if Northern Arizona beat them next week. Utah lost by 9 in Provo, and it wasn't that close. USC looked like ass tonight, and that's gotta be even more concerning because they weren't exactly impressive against San Jose State last week either. UCLA looks good through two games, but they better be ready for Fresno after seeing what they did in Eugene last weekend.

No reason why we can't contend for this division.

Last paragraph = 100% truth.

But also this year, it seems like each week teams are forced to take a mystery pill that will determine how they play, but they have no idea which pill they are taking.

I think reading too much into that Utah game would be a mistake.

ASU, however, seems vulnerable.

I was dozing off during the late games and totally missed the FSU collapse to Jacksonville State. Wow.

I’ll believe this when I see it. They may want a scandal free program/AD, but they would be insane to keep Helton around if they are 7-5/8-4, especially with all the recent developments in the CFB landscape.
When donor wallets start closing on the rest of the university they'll see the light pretty quick.

Agree-Arizona looks as bad as I thought they'd be. Washington's incompetent. Washington State's dysfunctional. Not sure what's going on with Cal because I haven't seen them play. I'd be concerned about USC if I were a fan-they sleepwalked through San Jose State last week and then Stanford did that to them?

No reason why this team can't contend for the division-especially if the play calling improves.

Bag 'em young bullied the yoots from the very beginning. Interesting change of attitude.

It was a bad year to replace lil bro with an actual team as an ooc opponent.

Jim Benemann was saying last Friday that we should have played South Dakota State and they should have played UNC. UNC would have beaten them too. They're awful. Had I been Joe Parker, I'd have hired former Bear Creek HS QB Ricky Rahne (Former Penn State OC now at Old Dominion)

How does AZ keep getting votes in the AP poll? Is it really just people confusing them with ASU?
Someone voted for UA? That has to be a mistake and is egregious enough that the person should be stripped of voting privileges.
