Other Games Week of 9/10-9/11

Someone voted for UA? That has to be a mistake and is egregious enough that the person should be stripped of voting privileges.
Not clear. They had 5 points last week and 6 this week. So somehow moving up despite losing 14 straight games.

How does AZ keep getting votes in the AP poll? Is it really just people confusing them with ASU?

It's Madison Blevins, she had them at 21 last week which would account for the 5 points, and she didn't have ASU ranked. This week's individual voter results aren't available yet.

This is pretty bad, they should at least vet these votes if something looks whacky and check back with the voter.

You know how I always say that women shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion about football?

She had to have intended to voted for Arizona State.

Hahaha are you sure she didn't strip in college?
Pretty sure. We were dating and I feel like I would have known, but sometimes I feel the whole world is hiding stuff from me, so who knows?

Funny story, though (I think):

We met on a base in a foreign country. She was the college-aged daughter of the base CO, and I was some dumbass pilot who had a reputation for hooking up with strippers (I don't think I've ever gone to a strip club in the U.S., but in this particular place, strip clubs were kind of a norm). We hit it off and started dating for the full summer she was there, and then started a long distance relationship, before I moved back to San Diego, where we could see each other most weekends (again, she was in Tempe for college - her dad was a former squadron CO at a base in Arizona).

So a few years down the road we are at a party, and one of the senior officers asks where we met. She told him, and he looks her up and down, and in full seriousness says, "were you a stripper?"

She was annoyed, but we still laugh about it.

Haha that's ****ing awesome.

Apparently it was a mistake (this tweet was after getting roasted last week), but if she did it again they should take away her vote.

Looks like the AP has it corrected now on their website. They don't show UA with any points and ASU has 347 now instead of 341 they had initially. They don't have the individual polls up yet nor can you access last weeks either. Think they may have some back end error on the website.

Watched the UNC win over Houston Baptist on demand. The Bears played very well but Dylan McCaffrey was seen walking around in the 2H on the sidelines with his right arm in a sling. Former QB from Strasburg (Martin) finished the game for the Bears and I assume he will start if McCaffrey isn't ready to go this Saturday against Lamar. Martin threw for two TDs and led another scoring drive for the Bears. He was prepared to play and that's a testament to the coaching staff at UNC especially their first road game.

O/U on Pac-12 non-con wins in the 9 games today?

I'll put the line at 3.5
The over hit.

I think early reaction was the Pac 12 looked good with the Oregon win, and CU leading for so long; then CU ended up losing, Utah lost to BYU, Cal lost to TCU, UW lost to Michigan, and Arizona lost to San Diego St.

The other 3 wins were Wazzu over Portland St., Arizona St. over UNLV, and Oregon St. over Hawaii.

Stanford beating USC probably hurts a lot in the long run for polling. Last week USC had 789 points in the poll, they dropped to 39, and Stanford is at 10.

Kind of a sad week for the Pac 12.

I agree. The good news is that the South is a lot more up for grabs than most initially thought

Yep. That’s the kid I was talking about last week (Martin). He had twice the passing yards on 2 less attempts.

I feel like this is somehow tied into Arizona voter fraud and election audits.
