Other games weekend of 10/26-10/28

I don’t usually pull for Purdue, but when I do, they double up the corn****ers with almost a quarter to go. Fingers crossed.

Whichever big offer Scott Frost doesn't take.

Florida, Tennessee, A$M, Mississippi, nebraska, etc.

Maybe USC. Man, what he could do with their talent.

I don't think Matt Campbell will leave Iowa State. One, he won three games last year....and that included a loss to Northern Iowa. Two, he seems like a fairly loyal dude to me. When he was a GA at Bowling Green, he said no to a job with the Patriots. After Tim Beckman left Toledo for Illinois, Urban Meyer tried to hire him in Columbus. He said no.

Nebraska and Ole Miss are not attractive jobs-I still think MM might be a factor in the search at Ole Miss, and no, I'm not just saying that because of this year (he's coached down there, he's a proven program builder, and he's never been in trouble with the NCAA). As far as Nebraska.......Iowa State is a better job than that is right now. NU killed themselves when they left the Big 12. If I'm a high school football player in Texas, I'd rather go to ISU right now-they get 2 games in Texas every year. If they don't get Scott Frost, they're probably looking at a Blake Anderson or Mike Bobo type hire.

I'm not a CSU hater like other people, but I don't mind seeing that goober fail in their biggest games.

Today's game didn't actually hurt them that much. They now have to beat Wyoming and Boise to win their division. Wyoming is struggling on offense and they were going to have to beat Boise win or lose today. We took them out of contention for the G5 slot in the big bowls early.

They do have a huge problem stopping the AFA offense though, AFA has run the ball down their throats for the past few years.

AFA did need this game badly. This win puts them at 4-4. They are likely to get a win over Army next week. This means that they only have to win one of Wyoming, @Boise, and Utah State to be bowl eligible again. Losing would have meant they needed 2 out of those 3. A much tougher task.

Csu could have easily lost their previous two games.

Spoke too soon. Arizona squeezes in a 57yd FG to end the half. That’s taking advantage of 10 seconds.

I can't believe this OU-TTU game is still in the 3rd quarter. Feels like I'll still be watching it as I'm getting ready for work Monday morning.

A loss by Nebraska would have made a bowl game damn near impossible with their remaining schedule.

Army isn't a patsy-they're 6-2.

Sure, MWC isn't very good this year. They didn't though so their hopes are still alive.

Doesn't matter though because when it comes down to it I don't see them beating Boise.

Two personal fouls on one possession? These are the kind of silly mistakes ASU tends to make under Todd Graham

Gotta wonder if Kingsbury's job in jeopardy. Going to drop to 1-4 in conference play after tonight and a bowl game might be a stretch.

Okay ... after watching the Bums tie the World Series at 2 each, I could use some helpful (and non-sarcastic) recommendations as to which CFB games I should be paying close attention. TIA

Well, they kind of put all the best games on at 1:30 today. I'm watching USC-ASU right now.

Zona-Wazzu and USC-ASU are both good options.
