Now that we have that pesky issue of who will be President out of the way we can get back to what is important, our Buffs pounding the snot out of Arizona. Shockingly although it is the one that matters that is not the only game this weekend.
Tonights big Thursday match-up gives us #15 Utah visiting 5-4 Arizona State. How will the Utes do on the road against an underperforming Sundevils squad?
Not much of note on Friday but Saturday the PAC12 brings us the big game of the day.
#20 USC goes to #4 Washington. For the PAC to have a shot at the playoffs UDub needs to stay clean and a win over a ranked traditional power should help keep the committee from doing something stupid like putting another SEC team ahead of them.
The only other game between ranked teams brings us to that product of ES(ec)PN conference with
#24 LSU visiting #25 Arkansas. If these teams were in another conference they probably wouldn't be ranked but since they are SEC both may move up after the game.
Other games of note
#19 Nebraska host 7-2 Minnesota. The Gophers aren't great but the fuskers are way overrated. Could we see another loss by the corn?
#11 Oklahoma gets a 6-2 but stumbling Baylor team. Stoops wouldn't run up the score on the Bears would he? You bet he would and I think he will. For the ****Baylor crowd (all of us who are rational) this could be fun.
#16 West Virginia plays at 5-4 Texas. Charlie may already be packing up his stuff for the movers and WVU could speed up the process. The UT fans aren't likely to be happy with a 5-5 team coming off another loss this week and hoping for the Bad Breath Bowl.
Outside of the rankings
6-3 Tennessee host 5-4 Kentucky Can Kentucky add to Food Cart's misery?
3-6 Notre Dame host 5-4 Army Army isn't very good but could the Domer's lose to two service academies in one season, their boards would be a fun read if it happened.
6-3 Stanford likely to add to 3-6 Oregon's suffering. Would Oregon fire Helfrich in season if Stanford rolls them?
In what may be the worst P5 game of the season thus making it interesting 1-8 Iowa State visits 1-8 Kansas. Does Kansas actually get a P5 win? Would their fans rush the field if they do?
Locally
The 6-3 AFA host 5-4 CSU Both teams out of the conference race but playing for pride.
Rising 7-2 Wyoming goes to 3-6 UNLV Do they continue their pleasant surprise season this week
5-4 Northern Colorado host 6-3 Montana
Last week in the season for the small schools
Colorado Mines and Colorado Mesa both hoping to end up in the playoffs. Mesa with the advantage but that could change this weekend
Mesa host Azusa Pacific
Mines goes to Black Hills State
CSU-Pueblo host Chadron State (Chance for another Colorado school to lay a loss on a Nebraska school)
