Watching this Utah-ASU game, I think it's underappreciated how much our team doesn't over-celebrate things. Every tackle/PBU these ASU players act like they just made the game-winning play, even when Utah gains several yards.

so weird about that Carolina loss. I've told so many times the only reason they had a loss prior to tonight was Hurricane Matthew.

Asu pissed away early points off utah turnovers. Buffs will have their work cut out with williams.

During halftime of the Ute/ASU game they were talking about the Buffs being undisciplined last week and showed video of the personal fouls. I hadn't seen that angle on the one they tagged Bobo for. What bull****! Sefo was down inside the 1, the whistle had blown, a UCLA guy had pulled Sefo back to the 3 or 4 yard line by his helmet and was still dragging him across the ground... and Bobo got flagged for pushing that dude off of Sefo. The ref who made that call should be suspended.

It was a definitely a "wtf were you looking at?" moment.

should have been a yellow card for simulation

And tech's division chances just got much better!!!

commencing spousal negotiations over an Orlando trip....
Round one of the negotiations concluded quickly, as parties break off discussion to reconsider a strategy that may allow discussion to move forward.

Michigan State's drop-off is crazy. They missed Narduzzi last year but had Connor Cook to cover their defensive flaws. I honestly would have put Dantonio right next to Harbaugh in the B1G, he made the Spartans an NFL factory during this run. He's obviously still a very good coach, but it shows how important assistants are.

I posted before the season and even before last season that with Harbaugh and Meyer in his division at two of the biggest programs in the country that MSU was due to drop off eventually and he could be on his way out to a better positioned job (I don't think MSU is a bad job). People on rivals freaked out because they obviously root for Michigan state but it is near impossible for them to compete with OSU and Michigan when they are rolling and that doesn't even take into account Penn State having somewhat of a revival.

Some good points.

Michigan State is a very good program and Dantonio has had some excellent success there but even when MSU is up and Mich is down Michigan is still the big program in the state. They have more fan support, more money, and a much higher profile both in state and nationally.

When Michigan and tOSU are both up MSU is left taking a lot of scraps and as you stated Pedo State is also a much higher profile program and even Wisconsin is strong competition for recruits in the Midwest or who are willing to play in the Midwest.

Conventional wisdom says Dantonio isn't going anywhere. He likes East Lansing, makes a lot of money, and is to old to start over again at 60. He might be a good enough coach though that he doesn't have to go to a building project. This article makes a good case for him to a school like LSU http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...higan-state-coach-mark-dantonio-to-lsu-092716

A place where he could step right in and be in the mix for conference championships and NCs fairly quickly if things break right. They also have the money to make it worth him looking and with the hill getting higher ever week at Michigan State it may be a time for a move.

That's the real concern with what happens when you lose a great defensive coordinator. Michigan State after Narduzzi. Notre Dame after Diaco. Oregon after Aliotti. The decline of the Oklahoma defense and rise of the Clemson defense with Venables switching jobs.

So what you're saying is - we must keep JMFL at all costs?

Start the Pepsi collection now, people!

Are you talking MacIntyre or Tumpkin?
MacIntyre. Tumpkin seemed to be a solid small school DC and maybe one day we'all see if he has the chops to be great at the P5 level.

The point was that, while losing JL would hurt, MM is more than capable of ensuring the defense is in good hands.
