Other games weekend of 11/3-11/5

DeShaun Watson hurt his shoulder in the first half but the official word is that he's available to play in the 2nd half but there's no need with Clemson up 37-0 in the 3rd.
 
darth snyder's guys turn a pick 6 and a blocked punt into 14 3rd Q points to take a 30-21 lead over OK State.

that said, a quick OSU score...30-28
 
VT trying hold on against Duke, up 3 midway thru the 4th on ESPNU. With UNC continuing to win and a good chance of winning out, VT needs to win out to secure the Coastal title.
 
Man... UF getting ALL the breaks down the stretch here against Arky- didn't get a fourth down snap off before the play clock expired. That led to an incomplete pass.... with pass interference called. Then, on the next 4th down play, they didn't get the play off and false started, and the refs ruled that McElwain got the TO called prior to the false start OR the play clock expiring.
 
KState with their last best shot- 4th and 4 from Okie Lite's 13 yard line down 6. Get thee to ESPN2.

Edit: they got it... 20 seconds left.... now 2nd and goal from the 4. 10 seconds left. No more timeouts.
 
Man ... I am so loving having two consecutive Saturdays to just relax in the glow of yet another win and witness some of our fellow ranked teams get blown out of the water. UF (11) and **** bailer (17) are particularly satisfying ... but then ND losing yet again and assuring a losing season is the cherry on top of my football sundae.

Cowboys win. i thought Ertz made a couple/three bad decisions on the zone read last two drives on critical down/distance and the last throw/catch down to the 1 that resulted in the PI call was the worst thing you can do.....no timeouts....down short of the EZ and the clock would have run out the game if not for the penalty. an incompletion is better since the clock stops and you get another snap. ironically, PI call gave them another play....albeit from 15 yards further out.

edit: fun game to watch...i was pulling for KSU but had OSU in my pick'em

Holy Crap AFN sucks. There are no college football games on right now. They are showing 2 different NFL shows - some sort of Fantasy League thing and some sort preview show. F!

Yea, fortunately it sounds like holding him out of the second half was precautionary. He could have gone in the second half, but thankfully he just wasn't needed.

USC is such a talented, bipolar team. Looking at their recruiting ratings/NFL potential, they're up there with the big boys, but they never seem to put it all together. This creates a lose/lose situation for anyone who plays them: if you win, the headlines are about how Southern Cal has lost its way. If you lose (as the Buffs unfortunately did), then the story is "well hey, maybe Southern Cal can get it going/Colorado loses to a down Trojans squad".

There's no way to play them and come out ahead at this point in time.
