Other games weekend of 9-21/9-23

Cal has a shot at bowl eligibility, which gives the conference nine potential bowl-eligible teams IMO. Pretty clear step forward from last season.
Yeah. The only teams that look like they're going to be bad are OSU and ASU.

Big 86-yard drive by Michigan to take the lead 14-10. Huge 3rd down conversion by O'Korn on that drive where he escaped a near sack and converted a first down throw.

Why do they insist on including Euro soccer scores in the crawl? No one cares.

I know that it's probably meaningless, but why wouldn't you go for 2 if you are TCU?

Upset Alerts

#2 Clemson tied 7-7 with BC as the 3rd Qtr winds down
#5 USC tied 13-13 with Cal midway through the 3rd.
#6 Okie Lite trails #16 TCU 17-27 with 5 mins left in the 3rd.
#8 Michigan trails Purdue 7-10 at the half
#12 Florida St. lost 21-27 to NC State.
#14 Miami with a 17-16 lead over Toledo with 5 min left in the 3rd.

#7 Washington clearly overmatched and outclassed heading into matchup with Colorado tonight.

In the space of an hour, almost all of those evaporated. Depth wins out in the second half in CFB. Makes me feel less crummy about how long it took the Buffs to step on it against UNC.

How CBS chose Bama/Vandy, which most people expected to be a blowout, over MSU/UGA, who are probably the second and third best teams in the SEC respectively, is beyond me.

I was wondering the same thing, unless it's because they had already planned on having UGA-Tennessee next week and didn't want to have UGA 2 weeks in a row. And maybe with Vandy coming off their big win over KSU they thought this one would at least be interesting.

99 yard OU run. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! **** Bailer
Watching Matt Rhule talk over all the other coaches in that Coaches Room broadcast of the National Championship Game last season made me hate Baylor even more than I already did; which I didn't think was possible.
